Comparing this list to Word we see that this is actually the same - our local
printer provides a very redundant list of supported paper sizes.

I'm not sure the redundant items don't have some difference compared to each
other (like A4 but with different paper tray or somesuch), so maybe we can mark
this as NAB?

I confirm, that it is not possible to change page style with double click. I
see two possibilities:
a) It's the intended behaviour. But in this case, focus should go back to the
used style to avoid confusion. That's a bug or enhancemen (I'm not sure)
b) It's a bug.

Kevin: I agree with you that this isn't a bug. Unfortunately, when you click
on "File an Enhancement Request", this is where it sends you. If you post an
Enhancement Request in the "Ask" section (as I did) they CLOSE it and tell you
to post it here... and then when you do, someone tries to close it because it's
not a "bug". Not cool.

If you don't want people getting frustrated and being "rude" then it seems
rather obvious that LO SHOULD have an area in the User Forums for
Feature\Enhancement requests. Where users can up vote and\or down vote them.
It would help LO see what their user think is important.

As a software developer, I often recommend my clients to check out Libre
Office. When they do, the first objection I hear is that it doesn't have an
Outlook like module. LO does a great job of providing a replacement for
everything else in the MS Office Suite, so why would they stop short with the
Outlook part?

As someone pointed out in one of the "bugs" you marked this as a duplicate of,
Most businesses want a COMPLETE replacement if they are going to switch a
software package. Integration, single line of support, and simply ease of use
is important to them. I'm trying to help LO by letting you know what my
clients have told me. They don't see LO as being a complete replacement for MS
Office because of the lack of the Outlook module.

Finally, when my customers ask for an enhancement to my software, I don't tell
them that that is not a "bug" and send them somewhere else. Usually I view it
as, if this important to them, it will probably be important to other potential
customers... and I usually add the new functionality they are asking for.
Apparently, an Outlook like module is something that LO users have asked for
repeatedly... maybe LO should seriously consider it.

This is a valid enhancement request but is a duplicate of bug 96192 -- also a
valid enhancement request for PIM substitute for Outlook as PIM and e-mail
client.

The correct resolution again here is WONTFIX

Based on prior ESC/dev & UX-Advise discussions (including actions from the OOo
era when the StarOffice email client & calendaring was removed). Enhancement
was out of scope for OpenOffice.org and remains so for LibreOffice.

BZ QA sidebar: while comments on an issue made in duplicates often expand or
clarify things, QA closing as a duplicate keeps the relevant BZ linkage.
Alternatively we may designate one issue as a META to link related requests.

(In reply to Randy from comment #6)

I think what you need alongside of LibreOffice is Thunderbird, which is an
opensource email client and provide calendar, task, adressbook functionalities.

Actually I think MSO's outlook function is also a separate part.

Outlook is one component of the MS Office Suite. No more "separate" than Word
is separate from Excel or Power Point.

While I understand there are other open source Outlook like products available,
I and many businesses would prefer to have a Complete Integrated Suite from a
single vendor. There are other open source word processors, spreadsheet
programs, database programs, etc... But I'd rather have a complete suite from
LO than a bunch of separate, incompatible programs.

Maybe there's some reason LO doesn't want to compete with Thunderbird, I don't
know. But I think LO would gain a lot more users if they included an Outlook
like module in their suite. I'm really curious as to why LO doesn't want to do
that? It can't be any harder than the other components they've done. It just
doesn't make any sense.
