My L100 started out with no line, but developed a red one on the LEFT side, but only in DOS screens at first, Now it's in DOS and W98, and it also changes colors when I move the lid. Definitely let me know if you discover anything... Yeah I whined about something similiar to the list a while back. I had a white line going across the very top of the screen about 2 years ago. It slowly grew to about an 1/8" stripe over a year, then one appeared on the very bottom, slowly grew, and in the last few months a stripe appeared right across the middle of the screen. =P If I flex the screen just right, the stripes would change color and disappear, so it's either a cable problem, or some wires delaminating from the glass... _ Get reliable dial-up Internet access now with our limited-time introductory offer. http://join.msn.com/?page=dept/dialup ** http://libretto.basiclink.com - Libretto mailing list http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ - Archives ---TO UNSUBSCRIBE--- Reply to any of the list messages. [LIB] Red stripe on L100 screen
Date: Wed, 07 Jan 2004 02:40:13 + From: "Matt Hanson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Red stripe on L100 screen This L100 has always had this red stripe down the right side if the screen. But I've noticed that it changes color slightly to violet or I think even green at times when I adjust the lid angle. And at other times, it's not there at all. I notice whether or not it's there the most at boot against black DOS screen. The fact that it's not there sometimes makes me think it may not be a defective or aging screen, but a connection problem. I'll disect things and have a look at some point. But I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. Re: [LIB] Anti-Reflective Film

Thought I had a few samples left, but for the life of me, I simply couldn't find it months ago when I was looking for them for another guy. Very strange - hope it's not advanced brain death here ,)= Anyways, they still sell them in large, uncut sheets for about $300 or so per. Have to sell the pieces at about $10-20 just to break even, so if there's enough people interested, I can always order more. As for me, it's a highly recommended addon for the Libretto ONLY if you're comfortable applying adhesive film sheets on delicate LCD panels, and comfy if the pressure you use to apply the film may break the panel (hey, that's life). I haven't heard bad things from those who bought the last round of films, but just in case anyone is casually wondering It is easy to apply however - see Libretto Mailing List archives for my notes on applying the film and the before and after. For me, it meant the L110 I have was finally just barely daylight readable to use in a car vs. not readable at all, and the contrast enhancement is signficant. Let's just say I never regretted putting it on my Libretto (nor did most others). = adorable toshiba libretto The latest news and information for the Toshiba Libretto owner. http://www.silverace.com/libretto/ __ Do you Yahoo!? (UK thing) > Just got a flyer from Maplin showing a Binatone WiFi PCMCIA > 802.11b (PC Card) for £12.99. I've got two - they work well in my Lib 100ct. On the back it does state that it's a 3.3V card... Range doesn't seem to be great, but for 13 quid what do you expect? :-) I could fire up the 50CT tonight to see if there's any joy if people are interested, but it definitely works on the 100CT.
