Ok look at the two cards that you have that do not work. Look at the part
that slides into your computer. Do you see a gold strip with bumps on it?
That indicates that the card is a cardbus card and will not work on the 50
or 70, but will on a 100 and above. What you need to do is stay away from
card bus cards. So basically that means the old 802.11b cards. I believe
that linksys has a CF card for PDA that if it has drivers for your Windows
95 system may give you somewhat higher speeds, or allow you to connect to a
g network.

I'm a new owner just getting stated and have two questions about WiFi.

I've tried two WiFi cards so far on my Libretto 70 CL (32 MB) running
Win 98, a VCTnet and an Airplus by D-link and the computer doesn't see
either one? Both work on my Toshiba 2180 CDT with out a flaw.

Also I'd like to get WiFi working on a 50 CT with 16 MB, can it be done
in win 95?
Thanks,
ujb

Thank you, my cards do have the gold strip with the bumps. Now that I
have a clue I'll see if I can find drivers for an old Wave Buddy without
the gold strip.
Thanks again,
ujb

FYI: Seems I've had at least one cardbus PC card that didn't have those
bumps on it. I could be wrong. But it'd probably be best to check the
specs on any specific card before you go nuts trying to get it working in
the 50/70CT models that don't support a 32 bit cardbus interface

I have a libretto 50 32mb win98. I found a Belkin Wireless card adapter F506020
ver.2 new at Best Buy last year. Another thing to try is WIFI CF Card used
with pcmcia to cf card adapter. I tried to use the belkin in the jornada but
belkin didn't offer CE 3.0 support. I noticed there was windows support for
the cf cards.
