Positioning of absolute dynamics
I am using lilypond 2.1.37, and am trying to typeset some absolute dynamic markings so that they are not strictly below the note in question, but off to the left (and therefore above where they would normally be). I looked in the manual, but couldn't seem to find anything. How is it possible to do this? Thanks! -- Benjamin D. missing files
Lily pond looks so wonderful, I wish it would all be there. I have installed it following the instructions precisely three times, and when I run the test.ly I get 5 copies of a missing cygwin1 dll file. I downloaded and installed this file to windows, and then I got 5 copies of a missing cygguile-12 dll file. I cannot find this file to download it, but at this point I suspect there will be others. In the instructions, it says to send the test log file from the test ly folder. The test ly download is a text document, not a folder. This may help: I cannot download the documentation. Is it not yet in the mirror? thanks. Ken Behrens ___ lilypond-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user
Piano
Hi, I've just started using LilyPond, and got into some trouble trying to insert dynamics to a piano piece. Right now I'm attaching the dynamics to the right-hand staff and using DynamicLineSpanner to set them apart from the staff, to a position where they are more or less aligned. Like so: \new Staff { \override DynamicLineSpanner #'staff-padding = 4 \RightHand \Dynamics } Then I wanted to add a meno f, following the tip in the documentation (dynamic-extra.ly): \markup { \italic meno \dynamic f } but that doesn't get aligned with the dynamics. I couldn't find anything to do that in the documentation except \raise, which I couldn't get to work. How do I align the meno f with the rest of the dynamics? Little Problems
Hello there, I'm using Lilypond ver. 2.2.0 under Windows XP. After a few problems at installing I am now working with Lilypond and it works well. But I have some little problems: 1) In the created pdf-file is always a little 1 in the upper right corner of the page. How can I prevent this??? 2) In the text (lyrics) is a ΓΌ. In the pdf-file it is printed correctly, but at the compiling comes always a warning, that the program can't find the ascii 252 character. Is this a problem or can I ignore the warning??? 3) In the lyrics is a word Haff with a double f. With the standard font and many other fonts, in the pdf-file occurs a symbol for the double ff. It seems, that Lilypond reads the ff as a hexcode for an ascii-character. But why??? 4) I want to create a midi-file parallel to the paper-print. Therefor I need to unfold the repeat. Can I hide the unfolded repeated part in any way??? 5) Can I get another music instrument for the midi output then the grand piano (with Staff.midiInstrument = acoustic guitar for example)??? Perhaps you can help me with some questions, especially with the first one? I would like to thank you for your effort. Best wishes, Stefan Krieger (from Germany) P.S.: Lilypond is really a great program and I am amazed again and again, how complexe, varied and efficient the program is!!! ___ lilypond-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lilypond-user

I copied test.ly from the desktop to my /cygwin/home/ulrich and tried the command lily-wins test.ly This produced the attached log-file which says that a file named feta20.afm (a font-file?) is missing Could you give me an hint to correct my errors?
