How to start translate documents without running autoconf.sh

2011-01-20 Thread Ben Luo
Dear All,

I prepare to translate some documents to Chinese. But after git
checkout, I have to ./autoconf.sh. The script mentioned many lib/.hh
file not to find. or old. I use debian/ubuntu, but the version may be
older than compiling code. But I just want to translate documents. How
can Ido ?

Regards,

Ben Luo

Dear James,

I translated priority 1 files to Chinese. How can I submit to key
person? I can not find the way.

Best regards,

Ben Luo

That's just great; thanks!

Please send them to Francisco and read the contributor's guide;
and please send any questions you may have. This may be just
in time to have a Chinese website for our 2.14 release -- that's
worth an item in Changes I think.

Welcome aboard as a translator!

Jan.

there's also a mailing list for LilyPond translators:
http://lists.lilynet.net/translations/

you may find some useful information in the archives or ask for help...

There are actually six ways to designate the Chinese language: hànyǔ 汉
语 (Chinese) Pǔtōnghuà 普通话 (Mandarin, Chinese standard), 中国 话
zhōngguóhuà, 国语 guóyǔ (Taiwan), 汉族 话 hànzúhuà ("language of the Han
", used by ethnic minorities to denote the Chinese) and Zhongwen 中文
(all languages of China).

While I'm glad to hear this and I applaud the more collaboration the
better, I will take Ben Luo as the main Chinese translator (and
maintainer!) for the moment. The talk about translations should be
held in the translations list; technical issues about the building
process can take place in the lilypond-devel list.

Thanks!
