[LincolnTalk] Napolean Wood Stove, sliding glass patio doors for sale

2022-09-12 Thread Scott L. Rodman
We are selling a large Napolean Wood Stove that came with our house. It
sat on the hearth and was inset into the fireplace, but could also be a
standalone unit. $400.

Also for sale will be two sets of 3 year old double pane glass patio doors.
Each has two glass panels, one on each set that slides and each set is 78"
high x 72" wide - $200 each set.

Also, free to anyone who wants lots of door moldings (nails need to be
removed), doors, multiple sets of Andersen windows, and other building
materials prior to the house being taken down.

Feel free to send an email with any questions.

[LincolnTalk] Love Letter to Lincoln

2022-09-12 Thread D. Kempner
I was deeply sorry to hear your news, Kathleen. My entire family loved your
mother, including our golden retriever, Maisie. Your mother used to write
Maisie the most charming letters, and I tried to answer them with equal humor
and charm (I failed, I’m sure). Your mother was an inspiration to all of us,
including my parents who died last year at 92 and 93. She was an example like
no other! I wish you comfort in the months ahead with this painful loss. Your
mother’s Lincoln fan club will be thinking of you.

One question, will there be a service to honor your mother? We would love to
attend if there is one.

Thinking of you,
Daphne Kempner and family

Sadly for us, we did not have a good experience at Lasell. It was about 3-4 yrs
ago so perhaps they’ve improved in the interim.

There was a rehab wing at the Commons where we had a better experience and it
was convenient.

My Dad had a wonderful experience with the skilled nursing/rehab at the Commons
in Lincoln

Jeff Cravedi and the team there were wonderful and the commute cannot be beat.

Hi everyone,

Can someone recommend the best rehab facility, possibly near Lincoln?. I have
heard that Newbridge on the Charles is excellent, but it’s somewhat far away.
Any recommendations from personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mary

2022-09-12 Thread Lisa Paul
Sadly for us, we did not have a good experience at Lasell. It was about 3-4 yrs
ago so perhaps they’ve improved in the interim.

There was a rehab wing at the Commons where we had a better experience and it
was convenient.

[LincolnTalk] Seeking suggestions for places accepting furniture donations

2022-09-12 Thread Kathleen Lomatoski
Hello,

I am looking for local (Greater Boston area) places that accept donations and
re-home furniture that is in good or excellent condition. I know about
Household Goods in Acton; they only accept certain items. Thank you for
suggesting other places you may have heard about or donated to successfully.

Re: [LincolnTalk] ISO: Wasp control recommendation

2022-09-12 Thread John Robinson
I highly recommend Justin with Bionomic Pest Control. We’ve had a number of
yellow jacket nests taken care of him over the years, here. He’s friendly,
informative, and responsive. You can reach him at ‭(401) 261-7240‬, or
justin.hedl...@bionomicpest.com. Alice Waugh also maintains a list of
recommendations from LincolnTalk subscribers on all kinds of things, including
pest control, here.

From Justin, I’ve learned that yellow jackets don’t typically nest indoors. If
they’re in your living room (as they were in ours, once) it may be that they’re
getting lost coming through a fissure in the chimney. We had success using
gaffer’s tape and drop cloth to seal up the fireplace until someone could come
out.

Re: [LincolnTalk] Rehab facility for broken pelvis

2022-09-12 Thread Margo Fisher-Martin
New bridge is good, but also Encompass Health in Woburn (used to be NE
rehab) is really great. My dad was there a few years ago and it was the
best. He had been in several places. There are several places I’d avoid if
you want to email me directly.
I have also heard good things about Lasell, but have had no direct
experience there. Hebrew rehab in Boston has great therapists, but no
services on the weekends. (At least in the past).

Best,
Cookie

Our living room is currently hosting a yellow jacket infestation. Does anyone
