We have a Generac whole house backup generator. It was provided and installed 
by Cason’s Equipment in Lowell. Not cheap but reliable…what you want in a 
generator!
Highly recommend Cason’s AND Generac. 
Both are quality throughout.

There's also an Eversource app that is helpful for reporting outages and
checking on status of outages, but I have so little cell reception at home
that I have a hard time using it when the power is out...

experience interruptions.
This convenience comes at a cost.
We held off for years (30), but finally said, "enough is enough” and we are 
very glad we did.

There are 2 basic choices in brands-Generac and Kohler.
Having someone who is reliable to service is key

Eversource is now saying service will be back on by 1PM, but those of us who 
have “enjoyed “ Eversource’s “service” know to take that with a grain of salt.
Phone updates have a history of moving that time back and back!
