RE: lingo-l cannot open projector file
i encountered some problem launching the projector file. Wondering can someone please advise? it say textasset.x32, fontxtra.x32, fontasset.x32, flashasset.x32 are all missing while trying to create a projector file. It's old, it ain't pretty, but the following info may help. It covers hybrid CDs, lingo.ini, stub projectors, xtras etc: http://www.nectarine.net.au/directions/hybrid/ Good luck! cheers, Minty[EMAIL PROTECTED] / www.nectarine.net.au Director ~ Flash ~ Shockwave ~ Digital Video [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/LUJ/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Lingo-L is for learning and helping with programming Lingo. RE: lingo-l cannot open projector file
Hello, I'm new here so I don't know if you've already heard this, butÂ… First step. Open your file that you will be making your projector from. Once it is open Go to menu bar, choose Modify Movie Xtras. Here is where you add the extras that you will need. If you've already done this, then take a look under your application folder for Director. There should be a folder called Xtras which should include a folder called Media support and a folder called Flash. These should include all of your necessary Xtra files. If they aren't present you will need to reinstall them from your original install disk. Let me know if I have been of any help or if I'm just insulting your intellegence. Re: lingo-l cannot open projector file
Kirk, Xtras are software components that must either be included (built into, bundled) in your projector, or placed in a certain folder where your projector can find them. When you installed Director, all the Xtras that came with it were placed in the folder called Xtras, inside the Director folder. They are used when you author a movie. But when you build and try to launch a projector, these Xtras (files) are not accessible to it. This is where you can read about it: http://www.macromedia.com/support/director/ts/documents/d8_fast-start_stub_proj.htm Good luck! S.
