Hello Barton, We just started using XCAT to test Red Hat deployment, control servers( boot/shutdown/power on ). Goal is for another zLinux guest to request XCAT deploy new servers for 30+ days and retire them. Will ZPRO offer similar capabilities and when would that be available ? For those interested. We have a project to replace xcat/smapi with a full backend for openstack on z/vm as part of our zpro offering. The objective is for a user of openstack to have control over a z/vm service the same as their vmware service. Since our API already includes any or none of VMSecure, RACF, dirmaint, and specifically eliminates the need for SMAPI, I'm hoping our solution will simplify your environment immensely.
