And save writing a script, and running an extra shell + telnet every time. Actually, i thought 'call' sucked, so i usually ran node and used it to connect out... 8-) - Hessu

The intended way is to first make an uid/callsign association with "axparms -assoc" (see the axparms man page) and then just type: /usr/sbin/node PS. The "call netrom" method would work if someone updated call to also accept local nodes. -- --... Tomi Manninen / [EMAIL PROTECTED] / OH2BNS @ OH2RBI.FIN.EU ...--

Anyone suggest how to connect to the node locally? call netrom sm7gvf-9 where sm7gvf-9 is the netrom call, would like the node to respond in stead of getting ".. not found" 73 Kjell

I upgraded the program but I used the old configuration file. I went back and read the HISTORY file before I realized that you had to add a \character before the %s. Node works great now! The only problem I've noticed now is that I get two prompts when I first telnet in to node. It doesn't happen when I come in via AX.25. Keep up the good work, everything is working great! Byron L. node-0.3.0 broken??
I managed to get node-0.3.0 compiled and working, but when I use and extcmd, it doesn't pass the callsign to a program when I use %u or %s. The node that comes with the older ax25utils does pass the callsign to the program. Has something been changed that I'm not aware of? Byron L. Hicks === Byron L.
