Also, I don't know about the Technion, but when I worked in tau (and still today, as far as I know), we provided to students access to a Windows terminal server with basically all the software they needed for their studies (in parallel with access to Unix machines which was provided for 20 or so years, also when I was a student). -- Didi = To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Encouraged by advice from few Linux-IL subscribers, I clicked on the unsubscription link provided: https://www.pac.co.il/RmvMails/[EMAIL PROTECTED]&dm=DailyMaily (quoted after censoring of my actual E-mail address). I was directed to a form requesting me to fill my details - name, company, phone numbers. The field containing my E-mail address was already filled. This is a bad design - it seems that anyone can unsubscribe anyone else from the mailing list. A simpler unsubscription system would have removed my subscription request as soon as I click on the link from the E-mail message - and if the link was properly hashed, such a system would also not allow other people to unsubscribe him. When clicking on the "הסירו אותי" button, the unsubscription request was rejected!!! Red stars indicated that I must fill my first name and last name. Fortunately no further details (which I left empty) were required. Only after filling first name and last name fields, and clicking again on the above button, I got confirmation that my unsubscription request was accepted and will be processed within three business days. But MS Office is so important for interoperability that I cannot abandon it. At the moment I am stuck bringing every file to the university to open them. Who could I bribe to have these issues resolved? Wasn't there support of development by a government agency discussed once? Many bidi- and Hebrew-related Wine bugs being closed (but not fixed)
In the past few days many bidi- and Hebrew-related bugs are being closed as Abandoned, Wontfix, or other non-resolved closures. Presumably this is because nobody is triaging or fixing them. Does this spell the end of Hebrew support (which has always been terrible) in Wine? -- Dotan Cohen http://what-is-what.com http://gibberish.co.il א-ב-ג-ד-ה-ו-ז-ח-ט-י-ך-כ-ל-ם-מ-ן-נ-ס-ע-ף-פ-ץ-צ-ק-ר-ש-ת ا-ب-ت-ث-ج-ح-خ-د-ذ-ر-ز-س-ش-ص-ض-ط-ظ-ع-غ-ف-ق-ك-ل-م-ن-ه-و-ي А-Б-В-Г-Д-Е-Ё-Ж-З-И-Й-К-Л-М-Н-О-П-Р-С-Т-У-Ф-Х-Ц-Ч-Ш-Щ-Ъ-Ы-Ь-Э-Ю-Я а-б-в-г-д-е-ё-ж-з-и-й-к-л-м-н-о-п-р-с-т-у-ф-х-ц-ч-ш-щ-ъ-ы-ь-э-ю-я ä-ö-ü-ß-Ä-Ö-Ü
