The biggest problem will be the duplicates of every possible application, and the dependance of every distro on version/s of libraries. What I have been doing: Allocate for the "other distro" one big partition and let it install itself as it wishes. (you have working distro which is divided by your requirements, the other is "just curiosity"). Let "otherLILO" install itself on partition, it will have one choice only, the kernel of this distro. Instruct the main LILO to call this one. Usually the swap will be detected and used. Once you stop playing and know which one is THE one, install it, partitioning wisely. >From my point of view S.u.S.E is THE one. Have fun. Stanislaw. I will say I have a lot to learn. I did manage to edit out the errant entries in file. I still failed to boot to my GUI. Apparently something else went arry with the Qt install. I reformatted and reinstalled and will stay with my system where it is until there is a supported update for my distro (Caldera eDesktop 2.4). I had to install kgcc, set it as 'default compiler' (CC=3Dkgcc;export CC) and that was it. I still can't compile if I don't include SMP support, but I can live with that (it actually boosts my ego to be 'SMP ready'). Date: Tue, 04 Jul 2000 12:25:19 GMT Hi, Thanks! That's what I needed. I used netscape composer to throw together this quick test page and I used 'Browse File' to find the file link and it giving me the invalid path. I just assumed it would do it correctly and did not pay attention. whatever.zip and /files/whatever.zip as you said do work. I kept playing with the file/directory rights and the Apache config.
