Composition can generally be altered by leaving vege oil in the presence of alcohol that has previously been mixed with caustic soda. The alcohol/soda mix - do read up on the proportions and cautions - is very toxic and not safe to handle without protective gloves, but after about 24 hrs has knocked the vege oil molecules into thirds. This makes it lighter and usable as diesel. The remaining sludge does not go in the tank, and is mostly glycerin and water. It conveniently separates automagically and sinks to the bottom. The reaction can be carried out in as little as a pop bottle, or as big as a 40 gallon drum. Sorry, 150 litre drum. Vik :v)
Re: VMWare Player...
So you want to run an intel osx and winxp in parallel virtual machines to compare? Or are you wanting to run a mac version of osx on a Intel processor? (And I bet nothing will solve the arguments about platforms, religeous fervour doesn't often respond to reasoning or even proof!) The one thing I want from parallels desktop is to be able to run OSX on an Intel PC. Late to the thread, but hypervisor-based Parallels - although non-free-as-in-speech-and-beer(USD50 for Winders, Linux; USD80 OS X macintels) - is worth a mention here: easy to install product that seems to just work, and at native or near-native speeds. Parallels provides a free trial; give it a try, its impressed the hell out of me running XP as guest on Linux host, or FC5, Dapper, Damnsmall, Puppy, Knoppix as guest with Win2K or XP hosts, and it really is near-native speed. Aaron.

See: http://www.tcn.bowenvale.co.nz/content/view/26/14/ This is quite on topic for both GNUZ and Linux, but you'll have to wait till next week to see a bit more about why :) Cheers Don -- Don Gould www.thinkdesignprint.co.nz - www.tcn.bowenvale.co.nz - www.bowenvale.co.nz - SkypeMe: ThinkDesignPrint Upcoming events: Software Freedom Day - 16 September 2006 - www.softwarefreedomday.org begin:vcard fn:Don Gould n:Gould;Don org:Bowenvale Communications adr:Riccarton;;2/59 Peverel Street;Christchurch;;8004;New Zealand email;internet:[EMAIL PROTECTED] title:Director tel;work:+64 3 348 7235 tel;home:+64 3 348 7235 tel;cell:+64 21 114 0699 url:http://www.bowenvale.co.nz version:2.1 end:vcard
