I ordered mine locally, from the Dymocks shop in Napier, less than five
minutes walk from my house.

> I see that flyingpig have it and at a price much less than if purchased
from overseas. No book reviews there though.

I think it's great! :-)

Yes. In which case, Elan will have to rearrange the text before each block
of names. :-) Otherwise I'll be demanding my share of the hot tubs! :-D

Hi,

I want to make your words mine. I think Rebol just a great product and an
excelent language to start programming. Carl and his team have done a real
great job!

I ordered my copy of REBOL Official Guide just yesterday at Amazon books by
less than US$ 28 and I'm anxious to put my hands on it!

Unfortunatelly in my country, Brazil, I have not found yet other people that
program with REBOL to exchange some experience.

I also would like to make an invitation to the people in this group that
speaks Portuguese :-) to join me and help me build a Portuguese web site
dedicated to REBOL.

Greetings

Carlos Lorenz

[REBOL] REBOL: THE OFFICIAL GUIDE Re:(2)

2000-07-09 Thread mdinowit

No disrespect intended, but having found the book for $31.89 with no
shipping (at ecampus) I don't think the tip sheet is worth the extra $13.60.
On a side note, it seems that there are two other Rebol books out there as
well. I'm still getting this one, but...

[REBOL] REBOL: THE OFFICIAL GUIDE Re:(2)

2000-07-08 Thread danny

REBOL Press Online specifically held off offering this book until it was
at the printer because of the confusion that publication delays cause.
(Book release dates are something like software release dates. )
We now have a firm shipping date from the printer and the first books will
go to our distributor to fill pre-publication orders.
Don't buy it from strangers!

I thought it was interesting to note that Barnes And Noble
says this book has a "sales rank of 127,053", for the
*February Edition*.
Does that mean they sold 127k+ copies of a nonexistent book?
