Re: [FLEAA] very cool video of ProEV racing at the track

Hey Cliff,

Your race video is excellent.
It's a prime example of why EVs are a superior technology.
It makes it even more obvious Gas Is So Last Century :-)

Charles,

Thanks for the kind words. Google.org, the philanthropic part of Google is
holding a Plug-in Vehicle conference in Washington June 11-12. They are
holding a contest for 90 second videos to show at the conference. Info is
here:
http://rechargeit.blogspot.com/2008/05/rechargeit-goes-to-washington.html.
Last day for entries is June 8.

My understanding is the conference is already sold out. There should be a
good crowd including Washington VIP's. Anyone who has something to say about

why they drive or want to drive an EV should grab a video camera.

Here is the Youtube link to our video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utgir7m42yE Just below the bottom left hand
side under Views, click on 'view in High Quality' for a much clearer video.

Wow, I just saw a very cool cockpit/driver's perspective video of Cliff
Rassweiler of Miami racing ProEV's electric Imp at a race track, smoking
 by
a gasoline car, leaving it in the dust! Very, very cool video that
 everyone
should check out! I was looking on CalCars' national map of where plug-in
hybrids are located in the US (www.calcars.org:80/where-phevs-are.html)
 and
found a video link down at the bottom of Florida (where Miami is). Click
 on
that red Tube button, and it will bring up Cliff's video. Love the
 punch
line too! I think that's actually Cliff's trademarked mantra, for which
 he
even has a line of designer t-shirts! Man, next thing you know, Cliff
 will
have his own EV Racing fashion boutique next to Versacci on Collins Ave.
 in
South Beach! Thanks, Cliff, for making EVs fast, hot, and sexy! The
 video
 says it all!

P.S. I've been working the soccer mom crowd with my RAV4-EVs for the
 last
few years, but it just doesn't seem to have the same cache, fun,
 excitement,
and sexiness of a hot car like the ProEV Electric Imp! Oh man, I need a
mid-life car change real bad. :-)

Hi Joseph,

On your website you say that you won the pole position. Pole Position
is awarded to the one who runs the fastest lap-time, correct?

Pole position goes to the car, who the qualifying session, runs the fastest
lap. Your best qualifying time determines where you start the race. Fastest
in front.

Whatever ever happened to the battery's SOC? Are they still uncharged
or have you fixed the capacitor in your charger?

The video was done for a conference being held June 11-12. The details of
how we did in the race should be up on the website before June 11. The video
lap was from the Moroso race after the one posted. We did fix the charger.
