RE: [OzMOSS] Parent Lists
If you are looking for a lookup field to a list on a parent site then you can create a site column that is a lookup to the parent list. From there you can use the site column in the list on your child site/s. What is the best method of doing this, is there a way we can allow SharePoint to see these lists or is there an alternative? Thanks in advance. Re: [OzMOSS] Parent Lists
Hi, Not sure if i understood your requirement right. Anyway, using data view webpart you can pull the list items from the top level site and display them in your child sites (Aka Sub Sites). You can set filtering, sorting, modify the look etc. Unfortunately, we don't have this feature OOTB. Instead use SharePoint Designer 2007. There are nice blog postings on how to use data view web part.
