N O T E: The "Altered States" event which was due to take place on
Tues 14th May has been rescheduled for later in the year. But don't
despair, we're organising two events in June to make up for it! The
next event is "Esperanto" on Weds June 5th (see below) followed by
"Splat Japan!", a night of Japanese zombies on Fri June 14th (info to
follow).

At the tenth event on Weds May 5th 2002 entitled "Esperanto!" we
focus on "The International Language of Peace" designed to be
everyone's "second tounge".

Talks: London Esperanto Society
The International Language of Peace

Saluton! In these troubled times, we at Strange Attractor want to
help in any way we can. So Wednesday 5 June is our Esperanto evening,
when we'll be joined by members of the London Esperanto Society.

The Page family will demonstrate the language in action, while
hopefully teaching us enough to get us started.

David Thornell, President of the London Esperanto Society provides a
brief history of the movement.

Screening: Incubus

We'll round the evening off with a rare screening of Incubus (1965),
the only known film entirely in Esperanto. It's a gripping horror
thriller starring William Shatner. Gis la revido!

folklore and myth in conjunction with Third Stone magazine. Already
confirmed: John Michell, Paul Devereux, Iain Sinclair, Leslie Ellen
Jones (from the US) and Robert Wallis. Live music from Coil, Mount
Vernon Arts Lab and Wigwam. Art installations, build a stone circle
and much more.

 This is tonight.

Horse Hospital is: turn right out of Russell Sq tube, then next right
down a small road/alley. It's basically behind the tube.

Anyone wanting to meet beforehand, mail me offline!
