Hi, I use iptraf small but efective program to debug or see what happening with the ip's and the ports. You can monitor with it the ethX (let say eth0) which connected to the switch for the thin client terminales. I my self so many time had diffrent installation every time almost with another problem but thank to iptraf can locate the source of the problem. Hi, I noticed that all extra stuff has do with animation like compiz and so on take almost 50% of cpu power if not more.. First you should disable that, then let us know what kind of linux using, if you use Ubuntu then can send mi lts.conf with some other usefull tips. Good Luck.. Enabling LDM_DIRECTX could pose a security threat on networks where packet sniffing might be an issue. HI Samuele, Its look like some thing to do with INTEL video card. Then the following you should do: - Edit /boot/grub/grub.cfg (MAKE back-up first of the original one). - Search for lines that contain some thing like this: linux /vmlinuz-2.6.32-xx-server root=UUID=(..-..,etc) ro quiet splash i910.modeset=0 (am not sure could you try also i910.modeset=1). save the changes and reboot thin clients (pentium IV). I can't login with the other users. If I login with another user PIV try to login, I see the Ubuntu desktop and login sound but after 2 seconds PIV return to the login window. Any solutions? Hi.. Wish to all of you very happy year and good health.. Since few weeks I installed LTSP-4.2 till now although I downloaded some doc. but without result... my first problem is that dhcpd is not running o better said my dhcp3-server can not run..?! Thats why my client part the PXE is dead.. I checked and checked but nothing at all I have done according to the small manual Mini How TO LTSP from C.O.ReciclaRed.
