[LUTE] Re: Marcel Proust Playing Air Lute
I’m loathe to open up yet another contentious debate about performance practic, but isn’t “air” performance properly limited to performance without anything in the performer’s hands? I’m not sure it addresses the question directly, but I think any inquiry has to start with the excellent “Air Lute” treatise by Steven Hendricks: http://thehendricks.net/?page_id=23 On Sep 19, 2014, at 10:45 PM, Franz Mechsner franz.mechs...@gmx.de wrote: There is a famous photo, well-known as Marcel Proust Playing Air Guitar. So people would not even recognize that he is obviously playing an Air Lute! Lovely! Yes! Is there an Air Lute World Championchip in Analogy to The corresponding guitar Festival?
