It's being cached somewhere, I think. It does not happen on my desktop 
with a new user, though it does happen with the existing user (me!). 
Same machine, libraries, etc.

Same thing here (Linux Mint 20.1 Mate) -- icons are correct for a new 
user but buggered for me. They don't seem to be cached under /.lyx. 
Does Qt cache stuff somewhere?

Do we cache these things somewhere? It doesn't look like it...

I don't see it on my laptop, only on my desktop, although they both run
Fedora 33. I'm not sure if the Qt versions are the same.

This is not true on Windows 10. \lceil and \rceil are both there, on 
2.3.6 and 2.4.0 alpha. Screenshot from 2.3.6 attached.


The SVG is fine. It's in the conversion to whatever we use for display 
that the problem happens. It looks as if the images are not properly 
aligned and maybe the top got cut off for some reason.


I don't know if these converted images get cached somewhere.
