Re: Translations of Math environments in LyX output for LyX 2.2
But what is a chart in Lyx? A barplot, for example? If so, the translation in Spanish would be "Gráfico" as in Portuguese. If, on the other hand, a chart is a diagram, then the correct translation would be "Diagrama". Care to explain a little bit to see the most adequate translation? Re: Translations of Math environments in LyX output for LyX 2.2
The correct translation for "chart" would indeed be "Diagrama", as "gráfico" is mostly used for plots ("figures"). Re: Translations of Math environments in LyX output for LyX 2.2
Dear Georg, In Spanish it appears: "Graph[[mathematical]]" "Gráfico" "List of Graphs[[mathematical]]" "Índice de Gráficos" Is this for plots or for graphs? If the former, then the translation is correct, but if the latter the correct translation will be "Grafo" for singular and "Grafos" for plural. I believe the following has already been discussed: "List of Tableaux" "Índice de Tableaux" "Tableau" "Tableau" In proper Spanish the translation of Tableau(x) would be Tablero(s). But I really cannot find a Spanish translation for Tableau(x) in Latex using Google. Furthermore, the Portuguese and Italian translations use Tableau(x). Nevertheless, I have never seen Tableau(x) used in a Spanish document in my life. That's it. Tufte-book and chapter's authors
Dear all, I would like to know how can I add different authors for each chapter in a collective Tufte-book using Lyx. Is it even possible? I would also like to know why the chapter's title/sections are not used in the headers. Should I activate something? I am using a plain tufte-book document, with Lyx 2.0.6, and TexLive 2012 under Windows. Thanks in advance. Best regards. - Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com

Dear Uwe, I could trace my problem back to some bug in MikTeX that required updating. Nevertheless, when MikTeX tries to rebuild the font cache after being updated, it gets stuck scanning c:/Windows/Fonts. Endresult, I have to stop execution of the fc-cache.exe process due to lack of resources. Thus, the error is still there... GR! Is there any way in which the cache can be rebuilt without scanning c:/Windows/Fonts? Can I remove MikTeX and install TeXLive? Integration Symbol
Dear all, I am working on a Lyx document under Windows, using a full installation of MikTeX 2.9 (by full I mean all available packages under their repository). I included an equation with a simple integral symbol which seems to be rejected by MikTeX. The following errors are being generated: ! For example, plain TeX doesn't allow \it or \sl in subscripts. Proceed, and I'll try to forget that I needed that character. It seems that the font used to generate the integration symbol is missing, but as I told you before, I have a full installation of MikTeX. Thanks for your kind help. P.S.: Sorry for the previous message. It was sent erroneously. :( --------- Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com

Dear Pavel, I have checked the last version of layouttranslations and I couldn't find for spanish: "Table" "Cuadro" "List of Tables" "Índice de Cuadros" Also, there is an inconsistency which I don't know if it is the usual behavior. For: "List of Algorithms" "Índice de algoritmos" "List of Tableaux" "Índice de Tableaux" while for: "List of Charts" "Lista de diagramas" "List of Graphs" "Lista de gráficos" "List of Schemes" "Lista de esquemas" Why this oddity? Regards. PS: I thought it had been decided to have spanish translations as they are in Babel. Am I mistaken? - Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com On Tue, Apr 26, 2011 at 10:03 PM, Pavel Sanda wrote: > Pavel Sanda wrote: > > i'm waiting for a few last localization contributions but apart > > from it we are done. either wed or thu evening i'll prepare tarballs. > > due to the unexpected number of unannounced last-minute .po updates and > math > layout fixes (thanks!) i decided to set down deadline for .po & doc > contributions to thursday 28, 10pm. > > we still miss review of math layout strings for many languages > which were updated not so long ago - in particular: > > > arabic, chinese, russian, turkish, greek, bokmal, basque, finish. > > > if you are translator or just native speaker randomly reading > this post, consider helping your language. this is the last chance to > have proper .tex output for math layouts for next year or two of lyx 2.0... > > cf http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-docs@lists.lyx.org/msg06511.html > and http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-docs@lists.lyx.org/msg06489.html > > reviewing can take 5 mins and fixing the stuff in corresponding .po > file 20 mins of your time. > > pavel >
Re: Translations of Math environments in LyX output - last call for LyX 2.0
Dear Pavel, in Spanish, the environment "Table" should be "Cuadro", not "Tabla", which is the environment "Tableau". So, changes: Table => Cuadro Tableau => Tabla Regards. ----- Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com On Thu, Mar 31, 2011 at 2:40 AM, Pavel Sanda wrote: > Pavel Sanda wrote: >> Please go through all entries in the attached file for your language and >> ensure that they are correctly translated.
