2016-04-05 Thread Julio Rojas
But what is a chart in Lyx? A barplot, for example? If so, the translation
in Spanish would be "Gráfico" as in Portuguese. If, on the other hand, a
chart is a diagram, then the correct translation would be "Diagrama". Care
to explain a little bit to see the most adequate translation?

The correct translation for "chart" would indeed be "Diagrama", as
"gráfico" is mostly used for plots ("figures").

Re: Translations of Math environments in LyX output for LyX 2.2

2016-04-05 Thread Julio Rojas
Dear Georg,

In Spanish it appears:
"Graph[[mathematical]]" "Gráfico"
"List of Graphs[[mathematical]]" "Índice de Gráficos"

Is this for plots or for graphs? If the former, then the translation is
correct, but if the latter the correct translation will be "Grafo" for
singular and "Grafos" for plural.

I believe the following has already been discussed:
"List of Tableaux" "Índice de Tableaux"
"Tableau" "Tableau"

In proper Spanish the translation of Tableau(x) would be Tablero(s). But I
really cannot find a Spanish translation for Tableau(x) in Latex using
Google. Furthermore, the Portuguese and Italian translations use
Tableau(x). Nevertheless, I have never seen Tableau(x) used in a Spanish
document in my life.

That's it. Regards.

Nonetheless, Spanish has been selected in the language section of the

Tufte-book and chapter's authors

2013-11-01 Thread Julio Rojas
Dear all, I would like to know how can I add different authors for each
chapter in a collective Tufte-book using Lyx. Is it even possible?

I would also like to know why the chapter's title/sections are not used in
the headers. Should I activate something?

I am using a plain tufte-book document, with Lyx 2.0.6, and TexLive 2012
under Windows.

Thanks in advance. Best regards.

Dear Uwe,

Did everything you recomended to no avail. During installation MikTeX gets
stucked (I left it alone a couple of hours) "Copying
C:\ProgramData\MiKTeX\2.9\pdftex\config\pdftex_dl14.map". I think this is
still related to the problem arising from scanning c:\windows\fonts.

Any idea? Reinstalling Windows, maybe... :(

Re: Integration Symbol

2013-09-10 Thread Julio Rojas
Dear Uwe, I could trace my problem back to some bug in MikTeX that required
updating. Nevertheless, when MikTeX tries to rebuild the font cache after
being updated, it gets stuck scanning c:/Windows/Fonts. Endresult, I have
to stop execution of the fc-cache.exe process due to lack of resources.
Thus, the error is still there... GR!

Is there any way in which the cache can be rebuilt without scanning
c:/Windows/Fonts?

Can I remove MikTeX and install TeXLive?

Thanks in advance.

Integration Symbol

2013-09-08 Thread Julio Rojas
Dear all, I am working on a Lyx document under Windows, using a full
installation of MikTeX 2.9 (by full I mean all available packages under
their repository).

I included an equation with a simple integral symbol which seems to be
rejected by MikTeX. The following errors are being generated:

! Font U/esint/m/n/10=esint10 at 10.0pt not loadable: Metric (TFM) file not

I wasn't able to read the size data for this font,

You might try inserting a different font spec;

e.g., type `I\font='.

Somewhere in the math formula just ended, you used the

stated character from an undefined font family. For example,

plain TeX doesn't allow \it or \sl in subscripts. Proceed,

and I'll try to forget that I needed that character.

It seems that the font used to generate the integration symbol is missing,
but as I told you before, I have a full installation of MikTeX. Thanks for
your kind help.

P.S.: Sorry for the previous message. It was sent erroneously. :(

Re: LyX 2.0.0 landing, short review from native speakers

2011-04-27 Thread Julio Rojas
Dear Pavel, I have checked the last version of layouttranslations and I
couldn't find for spanish:

"Table" "Cuadro"
"List of Tables" "Índice de Cuadros"

Also, there is an inconsistency which I don't know if it is the usual
behavior. For:

"List of Algorithms" "Índice de algoritmos"
"List of Tableaux" "Índice de Tableaux"

while for:

"List of Charts" "Lista de diagramas"
"List of Graphs" "Lista de gráficos"
"List of Schemes" "Lista de esquemas"

Why this oddity?

Regards.

PS: I thought it had been decided to have spanish translations as they are
in Babel. Am I mistaken?

Re: Translations of Math environments in LyX output - last call for LyX 2.0

2011-03-31 Thread Julio Rojas
Dear Pavel, in Spanish, the environment "Table" should be "Cuadro",
not "Tabla", which is the environment "Tableau". So, changes:

Table => Cuadro
Tableau => Tabla

Regards.

Re: Error en LyX

2010-04-04 Thread Julio Rojas
Hola Pep:
En primer lugar, la lista es en inglés, así que te será más fácil
obtener respuesta si escribes en este idioma. Segundo, es dificil
detectar el error si no colocas el mensaje de error. Tercero, es
recomendable que describas el sistema en el que intentas compilar el
documento: sistema operativo, versión de lyx, distribución y versión
de latex.

Esperamos por tu respuesta. Un abrazo.
