LyX crash
I want to import an ascii-file into LyX. This file is about 1.9 MegaBytes! LyX always crashes, when trying to import this file. LyX reports the following error message into the file xsession-error: lyx: SIGSEGV signal caught Sorry, you have found a bug in LyX. If possible, please read 'Known bugs' under the Help menu and then send us a full bug report. Thanks! Bye. The emergency backup looks very well, but when I opened the as a real LyX-file, it's the same. After trying to formatting the text, LyX crashes. This emergency-file is about 3.7 MegaBytes. I use SuSE 6.0 with Linux 2.0.36. Is it an error in fact of the big file? Herbert [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.canisius.de/

printing not highlighted
I'm new to this list, and I'd bet the problems I'm having are not unique to me, so if there is an FAQ I can reference that has the answers, I'll be happy to start there. After a brief look through the archives of the list and the web page, I haven't seen this issue, though. I've succeeded in compiling lyx on a Solaris 2.5.1 Ultra-1 machine. We have gcc/g++ 2.8.1 on it. We want to print, but the File -> Print option is not highlighted to allow this. We have dvips in /usr/local/bin, and it is a version from 1993. Is there something that needs to be in lyxrc.default? Do I need to set some value in config.h before compiling? I figure it must be something fairly simple. docbook support?
I know this has been asked before (most recently in february) but I'm still curious: is there a schedule/plan for docbook support in Lyx? Should I expect it in 1.0.3? Or will I be left hanging longer? Luis P.S. Lyx is a really great program- I use it for virtually everything now. Thanks to everyone who has contributed time and effort. ### God was my co-pilot, but we crashed in the mountains and I had to eat him. -bumper sticker ###
Re: latex_preamble+'mouse_middle_button'=LyX_crash!
>Jerry> It IS a bug in xforms. I followed your words, and get same >Jerry> crash. paste in minput produces > >That's very intersting. Could you tell me exactly what steps you took >to get this behaviour and what system you use (OS, X version, xforsm >version, libc version on linux). I need this info in a synthetic form 1) open 2 xterms; 2) start minput from xterm 1; 3) select something from xterm 2, and paste it to minput --- fine, here; 4) close xterm 2; 5) paste again there are two possibilities: A) minput crash.. B) paste not performed, however, you can paste in xterm 1 Sorry, I can not make it crash exactly, but B is not correct as well. Insert->Include File, Verbatim: Tabs are lost
Hallo! (lyx-1.0.3pre4) I just tried to include a simple ASCII file including tabs with Insert->Include file, option Verbatim But the tabs seem to be silently ignored, they even are not interpreted as blanks. Is there a way to get them used or is this a featue/bug? Regards -- Michael Behrens ---+-+ | Darmstadt, Germany | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | +-+-+
Re: Minimze windows
Hi, I'd just like to let you know a hm, feature, that was recently discussed on the lyx users list SNIP > > "Christopher" == Christopher Sawtell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > > Christopher> I have KDE 1.1 here LyX 1.0.3pre4 Linux kernel 2.2.9 > > Christopher> LyX performs the behaviour Stephan describes. Without further informations I would think that was nothing to do with lyx or sgmltools. Which Red Hat version do you have? > David Nedrow > [EMAIL PROTECTED]
