Re: Working with multiple documents in multiple export formats
Links should be possible as follows: - links inside a single document (refs and page refs) - links between two documents (refs and page refs) I need the latter because the basic approach to generate my manual is to work with separate LyX-files all coming together in one "master"-file. For conversion latex->html I used to use latex2html but latex2html seems to get into trouble when defining a preamble like \usepackage[ps2pdf ...]{hyperref} TIA Stephan -- Stephan E. time for a version change?
Hi! I am new to lyx, and new to linux in general. My version of lyx is 1.1.4fix3, which came with my SuSE distribution. Should I update? I have a ppc, so I might have to download the source and compile the binary. While I haven't done this before, I'm pretty sure I could do it now. However, I am more concerned at having to possible download libraries and compile them as well. Thanks in advance. -- *Paul Tremblay * *[EMAIL PROTECTED]*

Jurabib and inproceedeings
Hi there, I have problem running LyX with jurabib. The problem is that I can only insert articles or books as citation references. If I insert inproceedings, inbook or something like this I get an error message while running latex to export dvi, html or what's so ever. No problems with books and articles. Any clue? Thank you. Figure captions and caption numbering
Some books have the caption above the figure, some below, and some to the side. Any suggestions on style for a technical book? Also, all tech books have figure numbering contain the chapter number and restart the figure number at 1 for each chapter (figure 10-1). But LyX labels and references number figures sequentially throughout the book (figure 96). Is there any way to get the chapter-figure numbering in LyX, while still retaining the ability to move chapters around without needing to explicitly tweak individual entries? 2 questions about CV document class
Hi, I just upgraded to lyx 1.1.6fix3. However, the rpm from ftp://ftp.sylvan.com/pub/lyx/lyx-1.1.6fix3-1.i386.rpm did not include the CV class. I then installed the cv class seperately according to: http://www.educat.hu-berlin.de/~voss/lyx/templates.html#cv This works fine, but only installs version 1.4. I read in the Mailing list archives that the cv version supposed to be included in lyx1.1.6fix3 is version 1.5. Where can I get version 1.5? What is wrong with the above rpm? --- How do you change the cv topic margin. I have now: ... Some Section 1999-2000 Some employment More text about this employment. ... But I want: ... Some Section 1999-2000 Some employment More text about this employment. ... Now my 2 questions: How can you make the margin wider? And how can you change the font of "1999-2000" to s.th. smaller (throughout the document)? I know that I can change the margin with Layout -> Absatzformat (section format?) -> Titelbreite (title width) from M to MMM. But this only changes the presentation inside of LyX. I does not affect the postscript output. Any help is greatly appreciated! Chris

If you want, I've got a sample file. Yann COLLETTE Problem.tar.gz

image float problem
Hello, I've wrote a test file with an image float inside and a footnote. If I do a view postscript, the image float appears after the footnote in the foot header. If I set float placement to !h!t!b!p, everything is fine. Maybe it's a Latex bug ? Is use lyx-1.1.6fix3 with the latest stable tetex distribution. Your sincerely, Yann COLLETTE
Math problem
Hello, I've inserted a formula in a 2X2 tabular. For example: +---+-+ | A | A | +---+-+ | A | mathform| +---+-+ with mathform = (in math mode) \displaystyle{1/(1+x)} If I do I view postscript, everything is fine. I save the file, close it and reopen it. Now, mathform = (in math mode) {1/(1+x)}. The displaystyle command has disappeared. I think it's a bug Your sincerely, Yann COLLETTE
"twoside" option ignored
Hello all lyx users, i've got a strange thing on my lyx1.1.6fix3. I'm using a modified book class. And when configuring a twoside document in order to have great headings, lyx seems to ignore the option. Proof : if i select oneside, and export in latex, the "\documentclass" options has got "oneside" option, but if I try to select "twoside" option under lyx and export the file into latex, the "\documentclass" options does not have the "twoside" option. So does it come from an error from myself, or is it a bug. In fact, I had such things in previous version of lyx.. -- Scully: Oh God Mulder, it smells like.. I think it's bile.
