Index cross referencing with see
Hello, I just noticed that the cross reference mechanism does not work with LyX Beta4. Or I'm doing something wrong? See the following code: Frontalunterricht\index{Modell!Frontalunterricht} \index{Frontalunterricht|see{Modell}} \printindex{} The index entry does appear but there is not cross reference with see, respectively the German equivalent with siehe. (I have tried different languages, but that didn't help.) Any ideas what is wrong here? Peter

I can also replicate this problem on windows with the latest texlive and lyx 2beta4, but when the class option 'nopsheader' is removed, it compiles as expected with pd2pdf. - Original Message - From: moabi2000 Sent: 03/07/11 10:53 AM To: lyx-users@lists.lyx.org Subject: bug? powerdot problems with 2.0 beta 3 Hi, Using 2.0 beta 3 the powerdot example file fails to compile properly. Using ps2pdf, the orientation of the slides is wrong and they are truncated (attached pdf). Using dvipdfm the orientation is correct, but the style (background colours) do not show up (attached pdf). I found reference to these problems in this thread: http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-users@lists.lyx.org/msg76826.html but no sign that it was resolved. I have tried several variants of paper=screen etc I am running Fedora 14. I tried the same file under a default install of 1.6.9 under suse 11.4 and in this case: - ps2pdf works great - dvipdfm does not show sound colours What might be the problem? Thanks for your help M.

I just noticed that the cross reference mechanism does not work with LyX Beta4. You should probably post a complete (minimal) example file. See attachment. It is possible that the problem exists in earlier beta versions as well. I haven't yet time to test it. Peter test-index.lyx Description: video/flv

Jürgen, I've got an error message on missing hyperref. I have switched it off in order to get a super minimal file. But after turning hyperref on again, it works now! I'm really confused. I worked on this minimal file to find the error for several hours. Now it works, even with all my modules, splitindex etc. - But I do not know what happened and what was the problem... Sorry for stealing your time. Peter

ANNOUNCE: LyX version 2.0.0 (release candidate 1)
Public release of LyX version 2.0.0 (release candidate 1) = We are pleased to announce the first release candidate of LyX 2.0.0. Since the last beta releases became stable enough for a regular work we switched to release candidate, freezed new development and focused on bugfixing to make the final release even more polished. The file RELEASE-NOTES lists some known issues and problems compared to the current stable releases (LyX 1.6). We strongly recommend to read this file for packagers of LyX on various platforms and distributions. Compared to the last beta versions modifier keys Control and Option are treated separately on Mac OSX. The distributed key binding now uses the Control key only for most of the commands. As with any major release we come with lot of new features but also bugs -- so while we encourage curious users to test this release, people who rely on solid and stable application should stay with 1.6 releases. Please report the problems and bugs at our lists or bug tracker. Please report the problems and bugs at our lists or bug tracker and also note that this release is for testing purposes only. New version question
Hi folks. It has been a while since I have been on this list, but I thought I'd ask about something I noticed in the last upgrade I made. I am currently using 2.0.0beta4, which came to me with my latest upgrade of debian testing. I have been using both Lyx and debian testing for aeons. Anyway, I notice a new behavior that is a little annoying. When I use an empty delimiter in math-mode, previously the empty limit was marked with a dashed vertical line. Now, it is a solid black line. Since one of the common delimiters I use is \.{}\| (that is, empty on left, vertical line on the right) the difference between that and vertical lines left and right requires more judgment than my eyes can handle. With math text being dark blue by default, there is not much difference between a vertical line and an empty delimiter. So, why was this change made? Can I set some preference to un-make it? I don't really want to downgrade, if I can avoid it. LyX is my default program for writing just about everything. -- David L.
