I have always had problems to access to examples and also to the templates since I have switched to OSX. eLyXer 1.2.2 released
Hi all, Version 1.2.2 of eLyXer, the LyX to HTML converter, has just been released. It contains a lot of small improvements and bug fixes suggested by users from all around the world. This is the first version to properly support LyX 2.0: eLyXer no longer complains about unsupported format. Be sure to read the change log: http://elyxer.nongnu.org/changelog.html for details. Download from nongnu.org mirrors: https://savannah.nongnu.org/files/?group=elyxer If the new version has not reached the mirrors yet: http://download-mirror.savannah.gnu.org/releases/elyxer/ One last note: there was not much enthusiasm about making eLyXer into a generic LaTeX - HTML converter. So apparently people are happy with the existing converters, and I will devote whatever small time I can to improving eLyXer as a LyX - HTML converter. Thanks, Alex Fernández.

LyX2: suggestions
- I'd like to get a busy pointer (like in previous versions) while compiling, as a feedback; - Would it be possible to provide a set of (slightly) bigger icons on the task bar. They're barely visible for old eyes on a 2048x1536 22" display. The rest of it is just... great. spell checker not active
Hunspell (en & fr) is installed on my system. It's configured as default spellchecker on LyX. Still the menu item for it stays greyed out. What can I do to activate it ? -- Alain DIDIERJEAN Puisque ces mystères nous dépassent Feignons d'en être l'organisateur

Re: Just getting started
I have always had problems to access to examples and also to the templates since I have switched to OSX. I have observed that LyX2 look for the templates in the folder ~/library/Application support/Lyx2.0 So, I have copied the examples and the templates folders from the application bundle to this location. Now I can access both using File/"Open from template" menu item (I am translating the names from French so they can be slightly different for your system). 2011/6/11 Eric Weir> > On Jun 10, 2011, at 8:50 PM, BH wrote: > > > On Mac, there's no easy way to get to the default examples folder. Go to the place you've LyX installed. Use the context menu on the LyX application icon and choose "Open package" (I have "Paketinhalt zeigen" here). Open the Folder Contents and drag the Folder "Resources" to the left and place to link there. <> Whenever you use the "File Open" dialog of LyX you have the link to the system resources at hand now. You may go into examples or into templates as you like. Stephan
Document class installation
Hi, I am a new user of Lyx and an ardent fan. I want to write my MTech thesis using Lyx. However, Lyx doesn't contain thesis document class by default. I installed the class using MikTex package manager, created a thesis.layout file(referred Lyx Wiki page) and reconfigured the Lyx. After reconfiguration I can see the thesis class in the document class list but it is not getting selected (Program does not respond in Windows 7). Please help me. -- Best Regards Abhinandan 9980729647
Images in Headings/TOC
I want to include a small icon next to several of my section headings. The problem is that these icons show up in my table of contents because each one is on the same line as a section title. Is there a way to prevent this?

There is a way to distinguish in-text section text and in-toc section text. If that's what you want, here's how to do it. With your cursor on the section line inside the LyX editor window, use the menu Insert > Short Title to insert the text that appear in the TOC and in page headers. Hope this helps, Julien
