Re: Is there a way to change the header font to san serif?

2012-08-22 Thread Daisuke Koya
Thank you Richard for your help,

However, may I get further help please?

I understand that changing the header font involves inserting \sffamily or
\textsf, but I'm not sure where.
If it's no great trouble, can you tell me how and where to put these LaTeX
commands please?

Is it one of those renewcommand things? Sorry, I don't understand this markup
thing at all... I appreciate any sympathy for my inability to digest any
computer code.

Many thanks,

Daisuke

Yes, just use the corresponding LaTeX command, in this case, \sffamily, or
 \textsf, depending.

Spellchecker-- AGAIN

2012-08-22 Thread UD
I know this has been asked here often, but now I cannot get the
spellchecker to work.
I am using Lyx 2.04.1 under Ubuntu 12.04. I have installed
myspell-en-us, but the

spellchecker box under spellchecker in Preferences is grayed out.
What do I do?

Thanks,
EK

Search for hunspell and aspell on the wiki, which contain some
instructions. Normally installing these packages and relevant
dictionaries should suffice. Then likely reconfigure LyX.

Better yet, can you post an example file (preferably as small as
