For something like \qu{text}{12}{Writer_A}, when I try to pdflatex I get

The control sequence marked to be read again should
not appear between \csname and \endcsname.

However I may insert \cite[12]{Writer_A} and compile without any

Is there a way out, if I try to keep my citations with '_'?

Hi,

well thanks but I do not have any fancybox in my preamble; ill ive got is:

\usepackage{isomath}
\renewcommand{\vec}{\vectorsym}

Honestly, I'm not sure wha fancybox is (except from "box")!

besides, how do I install fancybox? is it the one in the
texlive-latex-recommended package?

Besides, besides Lyx & texlive-science, should or do you suggest any
packages for mathematical/technical (science) documents (mainly physics
doc's)?

Thanks

Your module looks quite interesting...

A question: do you actually need the \makeatletter/other pairs? I
thought the relevant code was added automatically.

OK - that inotify was solved with a reboot - no idea what happened there.

I looked at the manual, and modified the offending module to the version

errors:

when adding this module to the document. I must say, I don't have any ideas
left what is causing
this, as the LabelType tag should be valid, ant the value "custom" as well?
=What is there still
wrong?

As soon as this is solved, I will try to upload it to the LyX wiki.

Thanks,

Rainer

On Ubuntu it seems to be in the texlive-latex-recommended [1] package.
Try locate to check if you have teh relevant file installed.

Hmm, then I'm not sure what's wrong. Maybe if you could post a _small_
reproducible example we could understand better what's happening.

Paul,
Thank you for the advice. By "update", I mean miktex-update_admin.exe.
Today, I ran the Options app to refresh the FNDB and update the formats, but
it did not help. Other ideas?

underscore issue

2012-09-21 Thread mario chiari
Hi

I have the following issue
(my guess is that it is a LaTeX issue, still help is welcome)

I have defined a command \qu :
\global\long\def\qu#1#2#3{\begin{quote} ``{#1}'' (\cite[pg.#2]{#3})
\end{quote}}.

For something like \qu{text}{12}{Writer_A}, when I try to pdflatex I get
the error msg:
---
{text}{12}{Writer\_A}
The control sequence marked should
not appear between \csname and \endcsname.
---

However I may insert \cite[12]{Writer_A} and compile without any
trouble.

Is there a way out, if I try to keep my citations with '_'?

Thankd
cheers
mario

Your module looks quite interesting...

It's not for serious spreadsheeting, but for things like adding up a
column of figures, calculating an average, producing educational tables
(like a table of sines, cosines, tangents at 0, 30, 45, 60, 90 degrees),
and so on, without having to leave LyX and resort to an external program.

A question: do you actually need the \makeatletter/other pairs? I

JMarc

You're right. They are unnecessary. I wasn't aware of the automatic
insertion of these pairs. I'll remove them from any future version of
the module.
