It is optional to CC the other persons in the conversation. I usually do that when I suspect they're not on the list. OK try the uninstall/reinstall. That's usually the advice I see Uwe give (the main developer of the LyX installer for Windows). Best, Scott

Hi Cee Van, This is because LyX is not finding your LaTeX installation, which can occur because a LaTeX installation does not exist or because, for example, there are PATH issues. Please explain exactly how you installed LyX, what your OS is, and any other relevant details. Best, Scott

Also, a > guesstimate as to when 2.2 would be very helpful. Thanks a lot. When you make the outliner module, please keep in mind that if an outline is not lightning fast for the touch-typist, it's worse than useless, because the author forgets the point he was trying to make while reaching for the mouse or typing an arcane and difficult key combination. An outliner must be faster than the author's thought processes, and must take zero thought to operate. Otherwise, it gets in the way. I'm the originator of VimOutliner, and if anyone has any questions about outlines, I'll be glad to share what I've learned. But how do I use threeparttable with lyx?
footnote in table - too much vertical space in minipage
I tried the advice for putting footnote inside table http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/Tables#toc12 It works, but there's too much space from the bottom edge of the table to the footnote (and following caption). Any suggestion? Without the footnote, the caption is tight to the bottom of the table
