Maybe more vertical space, as one will get in the PDF? I don't think that increasing the vertical space is a clear indicator and that would also be a waste of screen space. On the other hand, it seems odd outputting a pilcrow only in this case. Maybe a *small* vertical double arrow like those used for inserting a vertical space is more eye catching, or, perhaps, an arrow like the parbreak separator. -- Enrico
Problem with header in nomenclature
Hello all, I am getting ready to send off my thesis, but there are two formatting issues with LyX that I still need to resolve. 1) I have a Table of Contents, List of Figures, List of Tables, and Nomenclature in my front matter, with headings at the top of the page. However, the Nomenclature is two pages long, and the second page of it carries the 'List of Tables' header. Is there any way to change that? 2) This is more of a bibliography question, so if I need to be redirected, that's fine. I'm using plainnat with biblatex/biber, and I would like multiple authors to be conjoined by /&/ rather than by /and/. How can I do this? I am using LyX 2.1.0 on Ubuntu 14.04. Thanks!

In my case, both the original and the backup files are complete, whereas the emergency lacks \end_body \end_document and ends with \begin_inset Tabular I noticed that this seems to happen after I spent a long time working on the doc without saving, i. e., when the autosave kicks in. If I save the doc a lot, the crash don't happen. I'd suggest that you manually save your work and disable the autobackup in Tools -> Preferences -> Document Handling until the fix is available. Can you confirm that this really does help? I am not sure we even know that at this point Richard

Yes, this is really a bugger and the only way to recognize it is activating the end of paragraph marker in the preferences. If you see a pilcrow mark before the math inset it means that a blank line will be output. Placing the cursor just before the math inset and hitting the backspace key gets rid of it. It's easier to get aware of a blank line after the math inset by the fact the following text is indented. Would it be worth our outputting a pilcrow in such cases? or some other visual indication? Maybe more vertical space, as one will get in the PDF? Richard
Re: Problems with custom modules after upgrade to 2.1.0
Update on my knitr problem which I just got around to looking at. It looks linked to my R installation. My knitr and tables packages just disappeared. Re-installation of the packages cured the problem. Weird, I don't remember doing anything that would have wiped out those packages and it looks like the rest of my installation is still okay. We had some issues with file corruption, or something of that sort, so I'd suggest waiting until the binaries I uploaded today sync properly with the mirrors. Richard

I am asking because the error can not be the same that you reported. The knitr.lyx file has the same version as lyx 2.1 reads and writes and thus lyx2lyx is never called. -- José Abílio
