font problem
Dear all I'm using 1.1.6fix1 on Mdk 8 and I have the problem here that certain screen fonts don't show up. Which is the typical path to the fonts LyX uses to display Math formulas and such? Unfortunately I had to twiddle my fontpath for XFree86 around manually, so I might have messed up this particular font.. :-( Thanks for your answers Andi. -- Andreas Bauer, [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://home.in.tum.de/baueran/

I gave up on it, cause in the end I didn't understand all my own chaotic symlinks anymore :-) LyX just wouldn't accept the new layout. Now I use the CV class with only Latex and it works fine. Afterall it's only a CV and I doubt you'll be editing it on a daily basis... -- Andreas Bauer, baueran _at_ in.tum.de, http://home.in.tum.de/baueran/ "Science without religion is lame; religion without science is blind." -- Albert Einstein
Re: N -> R
Thanks everybody! All the different methods worked for me. Sorry, I asked such a simple question on this list, but I'm rather new to the LyX business :-) Andi. -- Andreas Bauer, baueran at in.tum.de Very funny Scotty, http://home.in.tum.de/baueran/ now beam me down some pants.
N -> R
Hi everbody! Is there a way to properly write something like N(atural number) -> R(eal number) In maths text books it appears N and R look kind of like this IN -> IR I'd like to use this in LyX, too. (Couldn't find it in the manual.) Any ideas? Thanks! Andi. -- Andreas Bauer, baueran at in.tum.de Very funny Scotty, http://home.in.tum.de/baueran/ now beam me down some pants.

When I just tried it again it suddenly worked - magically. The same thing wouldn't work all weekend and I kept reading manuals and all documentation I could find... > Clean it up and import into LyX. But thank you, I started to doubt my sanity over that one :-) And no, unfortunately I can't reproduce this error. So no bug report possible either. (Where else would I have changed it anyway?) LyX doesn't worry too much about it, but when I go to preview Postscript I get the response to change back into English. Any ideas? Language settings
Hello everybody I hope this is not a candidate for FAQ or RTFM. Anyway, here it comes: how can I change the language settings for my document? Everytime I switch from English to German, LyX (or LaTeX?) complains as soon as I enter the Postscript preview mode. I guess I'm missing some LaTeX lang. modules, but being a real bloody beginner in LaTeX, I need some advice on where to install them. Thanks for any suggestions. BTW I'm using LyX 1.1.6fix1 on Linux and tetex 1.0.7. Andi. -- Andreas Bauer, baueran at in.tum.de Web: http://home.in.tum.de/baueran/
