Question regarding the form of the aspect of the text in the main window
Dear Lyx Users, I remember having worked with a version of LyX in which the bold text did appear as bold when typing. In my current version (2.3.1), this is no more the case. Is that possible to set LyX to put the text in bold and italic in when typing it ? Thank you very much in advance, Regards, Harold

problem with a bibtex style
Dear Lyx Users, I am working at the moment on a paper for a journal in which bibliography should appear like that: Journal article Gamelin FX, Baquet G, Berthoin S, Thevenet D, Nourry C, Nottin S, Bosquet L (2009) Effect of high intensity intermittent training on heart rate variability in prepubescent children. Eur J Appl Physiol 105:731-738. doi: 10.1007/s00421-008-0955-8 Ideally, the names of all authors should be provided, but the usage of “et al” in long author lists will also be accepted: Smith J, Jones M Jr, Houghton L et al (1999) Future of health insurance. N Engl J Med 965:325–329 Would you have any idea about a corresponding bibtex style ? Thanks you very much in advance, Sincerely yours, Harold Mouras

Your best bet is to install the LaTeX package custom-bib, if you don't already have it, and then check the documentation. To use custom-bib, you run latex.exe against a file that essentially produces an interactive dialog. Answer all the questions about how the style should look, and it generates your .bst file. It also records the batch file that produced the .bst file, in a way that's easy to edit afterward, in case you want to modify the style without going through the entire dialog again. I've had pretty good luck with custom-bib. At least once, though, I needed something custom-bib couldn't do, so I had to generate a "close" style using custom-bib and then hack it with copious help from people in the group. -- Paul ** Paul A. Although, I choose french both in the preferences of LyX and in the document layout for the language settings, it doesn't seem to be taken into account anyway? Would you have any idea to solve this problem? how to into account the franch aspell dictionnary
Dear Lyx users, I am at present using Lyx 1.3.3 with the qt version under windows, but I am not able to use the french dictionnary. The english dictionnary works fine, but I cannot find the way to put the french dictionnary into account by Lyx. I know that we have to put the same file in the lib and share folder of lyx, but which files exactly? If someone would have the dictionnary, it would be a great help for me. conversion and revision mode
Dear Lyx users, could you let me know about your best solution to convert lyx files in rtf files readable under WORD for other users? I would have another basic question: would exist under lyx a comparable revision mode than the one existing under word and allonwing to see corrections done by other users of the same file.
