TOCLOFT - numwidth - Understanding Documentation
Hi GuysFirst of all I'd like to wish you all a pretty good weekend :-) Secondly, (here it comes...) I'm trying to understanding the TocLoft documentation to use in my College Paper but I'm stuck in the following: How would be the procedure to set the numwidth of a specific entry?!?! I mean, how would I do to change the 2.3 numwidth from the Section(or any other) Entry to another value? Searching on internet and reading the documentation I can figure it out. Do you have any idea?? Regards and Thank you ALL Marcelo

I'm having a "issue" that I'd like to fix somehow (any workaround would be fine) I'd like to make CAPÍTULO 3 appear in the next Page It is really strange the way it is right now Any idea would be great appreciate, I'm still not familiarized with Latex. I was thinking on just change the MARGINS of that specific page and make it less higher...But I don't think it is possible.. Please..Help me..It is one of the last things that is missing. Re: new info Custom-Bib / Lyx / Bibliography / Customize
Which square brackets were you wanting to remove, then? rh I want to remove these ones: I got these result if I use the following in the BST I sent: FUNCTION {output.bibitem} { newline$ "\bibitem[" write$ "" "]{" write$ cite$ write$ "}" write$ newline$ "" before.all 'output.state := } If I do just the way you asked me to do: { newline$ "\bibitem" write$ "" "{" write$ cite$ write$ "}" write$ newline$ "" before.all 'output.state := } Latex will automatically put again the numbers [1],[2],[3] Was I able to explain ? (Sorry for my bad English, I'm doing my best... :-D) Regards Marcelo

Why not just take them out? I.e.: FUNCTION {output.bibitem} { newline$ "\bibitem" write$ "" "{" write$ cite$ write$ "}" write$ newline$ "" before.all 'output.state := } or more simply: FUNCTION {output.bibitem} { newline$ "\bibitem{" write$ cite$ write$ "}" write$ newline$ "" before.all 'output.state := } Because if I do this, Lyx / Latex will automatically number the labels.. So I will have [1], [2], [3] It is the default behavior ... The following information was taken from http://www.eng.cam.ac.uk/help/tpl/textprocessing/teTeX/latex/latex2e-html/ltx-205.html The \bibitem command generates an entry labeled by label If the label argument is missing, a number is generated as the label, using the enumiv counter <http://www.eng.cam.ac.uk/help/tpl/textprocessing/teTeX/latex/latex2e-html/ltx-3.html>. The cite_key is a mnemonic consisting of any sequence of letters, numbers, and punctuation symbols not containing a comma. So, just remove the "[" "]" would not work as well.. :-( Other solutions??

Re: [Fwd: FancyBox - Shadowbox - Page Border]
Not at all. Just put an asterisk after \AddToShipoutPicture, i.e., use \AddToShipoutPicture* and only the first produced page will have the border. Regards, and I don't want to bother you, You're welcome. It Worked like a charm...Thanks Again :-) Does the asterisk have a special meaning?! Cause I know that with Part and Subsection the asterisk means that it will or will not be numbered parts or sections. What would be the best way of discovering what the asterisk would do in this specific command? (It is just for information, learn about LATEX and LYX). Marcelo

Bibliography Is really complex , or it is a bug
Guys, believe me I did a lot of research regarding this, but until now I was not able to make things works the way I want. I'm developing (at least trying) my thesis, and I can't make things goes the way I want. I need the following style to Bibliography: [Author Name, YEAR] ;. . a example would be: [Reyes & Wiles, 2007] Reyes, A. & Wiles, J. Best Dawn Cybercrime and Digital Forensics Book. Syngress. 2007. I'm from brazil, so I need or the sign & or the word E (the same as and) to separate the names inside []. I tried A LOT of styles, and finally I was able to find one that I thought that meet my needs.it is the ALIKE2 style. When I use it things are PERFECT!.. *BUT HERE IS THE HUGE PROBLEM: *When I create ANY citation in my document, ALL the things inside the [ ] in Bibliography just disappear. If I remove the citation, things back to normal and [Name of Author, YEAR] came back. Example: Without Citation in document: *[Reyes & Wiles, 2007] Reyes, A. & Wiles, J. Best Dawn Cybercrime and Digital Forensics.Book. Syngress. 2007. *With Citation in document: *Reyes, A. & Wiles, J. Best Dawn Cybercrime and Digital Forensics.Book. Syngress. 2007. Why this happens?! * ANY Thoughts?!?! I'm in this problem for weeks and I'm really tired of it, I would appreciate a LOT if some one help me. Marcelo
