using another tool to convert. It's using rsvg-convert instead.

Now the question is: why isn't it working with inkscape? You can see in your 
log inkscape is complaining about a missing input file named 
0_Users_ed_Documents_Home_to_work_150731_untitled_folder_information.svg

Possible reasons are:
* some broken behavior on Mac 10.10.x I cannot verify ATM
* some problem with spaces in path (you have a sub folder named untitled 
folder)
* some broken converter configuration when using inkscape

How did you install inkscape? Are you able to add the rsvg-convert tool? Did 
you change some setting of LyX preferences with file formats and converter 
tools?

LyX provide hidden conversion from svg to pdf, here is the content of the
LyX temp folder :
