Actually, the wiki page http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyXOnCygwin still refers to LyX 1.4. It is my intention updating it to LyX 1.5/Qt 4.3.0 as soon as I'll find the time. Note that the binary packages that I make available most probably will continue using Qt 4.1.5 as they are the same packages I build for my personal use, and I by far prefer Qt 4.1.5 over 4.3.0, as that version is less bloated. I like having the file dialog instantly populated as it happens with 4.1.5, instead of waiting several seconds. Anyway, Qt 4.3.0 supports a Vista style, so if you have Vista and like having shaded tool tips, you will be able to compile your own version ;-) -- Enrico

It would be a lot of trouble if you try to compile qt4/x11 for cygwin. qt4/win might be used directly, but I am not sure. Cheers, Bo
Compiling lyx 1.5 for cygwin?
Does anyone have information or experience about compiling LyX 1.5 for cygwin? I have really appreciated the efforts of Enrico Forestieri (and others?) who prepared distributions of LyX 1.4.x. I'm willing to spend some time compiling (or tyring to compile) it myself, but any advice or pointers would be helpful. thanks...dave case
