It is enough to specify "irfanview" as editor (in case the filename is irfanview.exe. Assure that the path to the irfanview.exe is in LyX's PATH prefix in the LyX preferences...* Yes. I dit it. I followed the explained procedure. Irfanview is launched but the image file is not loaded. However, for Imagine (another image viewer) works! Thanks! Sorry for my terrible English!

There is no documentation for irfanview on their web page, but I am
not sure it accepts simple parameters provided by command line.
Command line is not mentioned in their FAQ, but forum mentions a lot
of /something options, so there is probably a help file with command
line option reference guide.

The list of command is available in the documentation on Irfan Viewer.
As for the original question, the following works for me, without
needing to set LyX's path:
"C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view32.exe" $$i
The only problem is that Irfan starts minimized for some reason.

I am a light user without LATEX knowledge. I use LyX for a year ago. In my opinion, LyX ranks among the best tools of free open source code ( or no ) that I had known. Thank you very much! Fantastic Work! I have some suggestions ... but today I will limit myself to ask a question.
