Hello, Thank you very much for the class file. I've already tried it ($latex my_paper.tex) and it's exactly what I need. One more question: How should I do or where should I place this class file in order to be able to use it from LyX? I mean I'd like to make IEEEtran appear at Layout-Document-Class. Matias.

As for where to put this file there are instructions in Help-Customization about handling new document classes included there are instructions for putting new .cls and .sty files somewhere LaTeX can find them and rerunning Edit-Reconfigure so LyX can then find it.
