That's what DevTerm is, although 2/3 sized so maybe you don't like it that
small.

This company sells transflective LCD displays.

The other key thing is a quality keyboard. I've seen other retro computer
hobbyists making their own clicky keyboards. A short travel one like the
gaming keyboard I have would be nice.

There's a bunch of these widescreen LCDs on Aliexpress. I have one of
these on my desk currently:

Just waiting for the M100 case so I can see how it fits - based on the
specs from the service manual it's only marginally larger than the
existing screen.

I think if we could source that LCD panel they're using, we'd have a good
shot at building a modern SBC into a real m100 case. This is the second
project to reference a "3x VGA" LCD, so they MUST be out there.

If someone intrepid were to take on the task I would be willing to contribute
to support the development. It should be self-evident the overall design that
folks on this list would lean on for inspiration.

I would pay the unreasonable sums of real money for an ARM-guts Model 100, but
not this more desktop-bound thing.

 Geeze.
$899 for the prebuilt "Founders Edition" and "no more than $449" for the
build-it yourself kit? That is a pretty damn expensive Raspberry Pi/SBC case.
Better off getting that Clockwork DevTerm thing for a fraction of the price,
even if it has a tiny keyboard.
