In This Case Amadeus Pro Was Not The Problem
Hi Everyone! I have a small DAB+ radio here which fits into my pocket and can record onto a SD card, I thought this device could be used to record a radio programme and edit it at a future time using Amadeus Pro. Wel that was the theory in any case but Amadeus Pro came up with an Empty container error when opening the ATDS file as created by my DAB+ radio. I reported - what appeared to be a bug - to the developer of Amadeus Pro and sent the developer a sample of the file the DAB+ radio created. I also mentioned to the developer that VLC had no problem whatever in playing the file. The developer promptly returned my bug report email and his reply was an interesting one. Turns out that Amadeus Pro wasn't the problem, rather its the audio/video decoders developed by Apple which seem to be the hicup here, they refuse to recognise the file at all so a bug report has been forwarded to Apple and we can only hope it will be acted upon. So why does VLC handle the ATDS files created by my pocket DAB+ radio so well? Because VLC uses its own audio/video decoders. --- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net --- To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages postedto the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html or at the public Mail Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/. Re: In This Case Amadeus Pro Was Not The Problem
Hi, I've had some cases where amadeus pro wouldn't convert certain files, so then I used an app called tunesify to do the job. The app can be found in the mac app store for about $1.99 U.S. Hope this helps, Courtney On May 15, 2012, at 12:12 PM, Dane Trethowan wrote: Hi Everyone! Hello to all. I noticed for a while now that I cannot spell check. I have spelling on, but when I hear misspelled I cannot go to the edit menu and hit replace. Re: spell check gone in ios?
Hi Sarah, I just tested the misspelled words: a n m a l and k u n t r y on my 4S running IOS 5.1.1. After selecting the offending word via the open pinch gesture, I am seeing a replace option when I use the rotor to select edit and flick down. Double tapping results in a list of possible corrections. Actually in the above two examples there only appears to be one choice. HTH. daisy readers for ipod/iphone/ipad
There's read 2 go, learning ally audio, (formerly rfb aka rfbd), in daisy, all of which are $19.99. Then, there's daisy worm, which is only $0.99, from western australia, and another one called daisy reader which is free, but it's not in english, so I don't know what features it has. :) (or even if it's a daisy reader as we're defining it even) So, that's what I found with a search on the appstore. hth. Hmm you used to be able just to swipe down to a character and go to edit, then replace. I'm surprised you have to now pinch as I don't want to do that as I have issues with my fingers and hands. Re: accessibility of Netflix
My experience is just the opposite. Hulu+ is very accessible using VO on my iPhone, from my Windows machine using IE, or from my Mac mini with Safari. Easy to search for specific episodes or clips of TV shows. I had a difficult time finding what I wanted on Netflicks. I think there's one spot where a button or two is not labeled or done improperly, but I can't recall at the moment where that is, and it's not one that shows everyday, so it's not really a limiting factor. hth.
