Question about refund
Good morning all just requested a refund of an item I didn't mean to purchase. My refund has been confirmed but how long then does it take before this is reflected in my Apple Id? I checked as of a few minutes ago and no refund was shown. Any responses greatly appreciated. Question about mail on Mavericks
Hello, I am running the latest version of Apple mail on Mavericks. When I look inside my trash folder I see lots of copies of messages I have been composing. It seems like a copy is taken each time I correct the message I am currently composing or a copy is taken after a set time or a set number of keystrokes. Is there any way I can stop this? If the app is more then 30 days old you will not get a refund on the app, that is if you bought the app more then 30 days ago. I tried with papaya broadcaster and they said that once I buy the app I cannot ask for a refund even though the app was discontinued from being developed. Take care. Re: Problem with VMWare fusion on Mavericks
Hello Esther, You are a marvel! Many thanks for the attached. I tried your suggestion of setting the fusion network adapter to automatic and that fixed my problem of fusion 5 on Mavericks not connecting to the Internet. My Windows 7 virtual machine takes a long time to boot up but then it works reasonably fast. As I seldom use Windows I will not upgrade to fusion 6 at this time. So many many thanks for the attached and also for your help to access mouse over items on the sing Chandlers Ford web site. Apparently this solves the network connection issues under VMWare 5.03 running under Mavericks for many people. However, there are also reports that some VM systems are running with higher CPU usage and fans coming on compared to the same systems running under version 6. These reports seem to vary, so just monitor your own performance specs for your Mac. HTH. Voiceover reading quotation marks at the end of paragraphs where it doesn't exist
Hi all, I have been getting this annoying issue that I don’t know how to solve. When reading by paragraph using Voiceover, I hear “quotation mark” or “double quote” based on what synthesizer I have enabled. For example, here is a text I have copied using vo+shift+c: Once, upon a shoreline dreary, there was a tree. This is her story. However, when I read it (with punctuation level set to most)m I hear this instead: Once, upon a shoreline dreary, there was a tree. This is her story. Possible audio problem--internal speakers since upgrading to Mavericks
I am using a Macbook Air and have noticed my internal speakers are no longer balanced. The change seems to have happened since I upgraded to Mavericks, but I don't know if it is hardware or software related. I have checked the balance in System Preferences and it shows 50, but my right speaker is definitely not behaving. Hello George and Marcia, Try bringing up your Audio Midi Setup, either by using Spotlight to look for Audio Midi, or else from Finder move to your Utilities folder with Command-Shift-U, then press a u to move to Audio Midi Setup and launch it with Command-Down Arrow. Interact with the table and select Built-in Output. Then navigate to the table where you can adjust the sliders for the individual channels. Also check that Mute is not checked for either of these channels. There's a Configure Speakers… button you can use to check the sound from the left and right speakers. HTH. Re: Possible audio problem--internal speakers since upgrading to Mavericks
Yeh I read those. since I don’t use the audio midi interface, or have not since 2011 I totally forgot about that. I don’t want to play with or try and teach it in case I loose my sound, and there’s so much in there you can do it’s impossible to teach all of it in one shot. Take care. RE: Question about refund
Aa, so you do it from the receipt, not from within ITunes, nor by calling Apple directly. Maybe that's where I went wrong. Wonder if apps not being accessible with Voiceover has yet been worked into their policy as a valid excuse for getting a refund, provided you don't obviously make a habbit of doing it, I spoke to someone in Cupertino who's name will be left unsaid for curticy sake for them, but anyway, he or she told me very very directly that they were going to start working on getting that in their list for valid refunds. That would be good if they do.
