Re: Help with calendar

2014-02-01 Thread John Panarese
Calendar isn't difficult to wrap ones brain around. It's a matter of
understanding the interface and locating the calendar grid. You must interact
with the grid to then navigate through the days of the month or week. You can
have a year, month of week view and this impacts what you find when you
interact with the grid.

Specifically, what do you want to know. I'd be happy to answer any
questions, as I use the calendar every day.

Re: Help with calendar

2014-02-01 Thread Sarah k Alawami
What exactly do you need help with. I could write a book on the subject. lol!

If it is to schedule appointments do the following.

1. hit cmd n from with in the calendar.

2. type the event.

3. hit enter and then click the date and time link.

4. adjust that and hit apply.

The event should if you don't need to do anything else be added to your
calendar on the date specified. There are some bugs which I can name if you
want but this should get you going in the right direction.

How can I accomplish this editing feat in amadeus

2014-02-01 Thread Sarah k Alawami
Hello to all. running amadeus 1.5, I have what sounds like a 4 track tape but
I"m not sure. I could split the track but what ever I did I could not get one
in the left and 1 in the right channel so as to export both to mono tracks.

is there a way to do this in amadeus?

Thanks.

The best way I know to do this is to hit control option command and right or
left arrow until you get to Voiceover volume you can then hit the same three
keys and down to lower or up to raise the volume ov voiceover.

Re: 2 E-mail Accounts on Mac Book Air

2014-02-01 Thread Matthew Carello
Hello Eleanor. First of all to get to preferences for any app hit command key
either just left or right of the space bar and the comma. Secondly if you
expand the in box you will see it has both mail accounts in it. You expand by
hitting voiceover keys and the backslash key. You can then automatically send
from the account of the box you will be in.

You can always change the email account you send from by simply hitting
the

button giving the account information in Mail. On ML this appears at the
top of the edit area of the mail message. I am not sure about Mavericks.

To change the default mail provider you need to go to Mail settings and
then

look under the compose tab to set which email account will be your default
for composing.

Hi Sean,

I couldn't agree with you more. Hiding things or making the user go through
silly steps on the chance that there may be something hidden that might show
up is poor design. This isn't a game. These programs are tools to get tasks
done, not hide and seek. Submenus would be a much better way to handle this
sort of thing.

RE: 2 E-mail Accounts on Mac Book Air

2014-02-01 Thread David Griffith
You can always change the email account you send from by simply hitting the
button giving the account information in Mail. On ML this appears at the
top of the edit area of the mail message. I am not sure about Mavericks.

To change the default mail provider you need to go to Mail settings and then
look under the compose tab to set which email account will be your default
for composing.

I have 2 e-mail accounts, how can I set them up in a way on the Mac Book Air

so that when I go to send an e-mail I am not being asked which e-mail
account I want to send the e-mail from, rather I can choose either of the
accounts to be in at any one time.

Oh ok. I can set it to send messages to my address then. If I do this,
will mewssages that are sent to my number be forward to my address or
will I have to tell everyone to send them there? Sorry not sure how to
do this rite?.

Thanks.

Re: Adobe Flash Update

2014-02-01 Thread Sarah k Alawami
I also use chrome as well but like to keep safari and flash updated as that
seems to work on most websites, and that's what I do my materials on, safari as
that's what all of the macs come with, I hope. lol!

but yeah give chrome a try and learn how to use that as well as some sites
work better with it. I might amend this message when my hands and my computer
warm up. it's like 30 degrees in my place of dwelling right now, and that's not
celcius.

Goo dluck.

An alternative would be to use Google Chrome. It has an in-built player that is
used only within Chrome. Not an answer to your question, but a useful
alternative if the suggested offered is unsuccessful for you.
