[Mac-access]: V M Ware Fusion 7

2014-10-26 Thread Godwin Adoyi Agada
Dear all,

I'm a new MacBook Air owner.

When I buy VM Ware Fusion 7 for my new MBA and later wants to upgrade to a
higher Mac, can the license be migrated?

Thanks,

Godwin Adoyi

for some reason you wound up in my junk mailbox, but no matter. Fusion 7 is
the only real way to go. Parallels is not accessible to any extent that
would make it worth the bother, whereas fusion is completely accessible to
VoiceOver. Version 7 is compatible with the latest OSX, and its always a
good idea to keep up with the latest versions of apps if possible.
you'll encounter a little difficulty when setting up your windows screen
reader, there is no insert key on the mac, and you can't use the caps lock
key either as OSX doesn't treat it as an actual key press that can be passed
through to the windows virtual machine, both of these keys being the
preferred modifier keys for windows screen readers. So, you'll have to do a
few little tricks to get around that - no problem though - it is easily done
and we'll help you when you get to that.

RE: iPhone Family sharing question

2014-10-01 Thread Godwin Adoyi Agada
Hi Paul,
Family sharing is an IOS 8 feature. Your wife can go ahead to create her own
Apple ID and password to set up the iPhone in her name. All she need to do
in order to use the apps you already purchased with your ID, is to go to
settings iTunes and logout and login with your Apple ID and password, then
she should go to apps store, under the search tab, she can search for the
apps you have already purchased. In this case, the download button will be
available.

Subject: iPhone Family sharing question

Hello,
I have an iPhone 5S running IOS 8.0.2 which I sync to iTunes on my iMac. My
wife will shortly inherit an iPhone 4 which has been reset to factory
settings and which I recall will run IOS 7 but not IOS 8. She will want to
manage this from her Windows PC and so will install iTunes on that PC.

Presumably when my wife first connects the iPhone 4 to iTunes she will have
to sign onto the iTunes store using my Apple ID and password and to tell
iTunes that the iPhone 4 is a new phone. If she accesses the iTunes App
store from the iPhone 4 she will likewise have to sign on using my Apple ID
and password.

Can my wife then install for free some of the Apps I have purchased from the
iTunes store? If so what does she have to do to achieve that?

I have enabled family sharing on my iPhone 5S but am not clear if all
sharing devices have to be IOS 8.

Many thanks for your advice.

 Subject: List Membership, please read

 Hello everybody

Firstly, the response to our recent request for confirmation from members
who wish us to remain on the service has been phenomenal, and we are very
grateful for that, thank you. However, there’s just one slight problem with
the responses we’ve received from some members. In the original request, I
did make it clear that we require the email addresses of those who wish to
remain on the list, and I asked for the address to be placed in the body of
 the message.

In some cases, we have received mail with subject lines such as “Stay”,
“Yes”, and similar things. Also those messages and others besides didn’t
contain the address within the body of the message. If you think that you
may be one of those who omitted to place their address within the body of
their request, would you mind please repeating the exercise, this time
 making sure to include your address within the main body of the message;
email address, I mean, not your geographical address. :) it would also be
helpful if you’d add a meaningful subject line such as “I’d Like to stay
on”, which ever list or lists you wish to remain with.

If you take more than one of our groups, such as Mac Access and Techno-Chat,
please feel free to include both in the same message if you wish. Again, if
you are one of those who did put their email address in the body of your
message, and if you made it clear which list or lists you wish to remain a
member of, then you may safely disregard this request.

Thank you for your time, and my apologies for the repeated request to those
of you who either complied with the original address or who do not wish to
 be ported over.

Finally, as I said, the response has been phenomenal and we appreciate that.
Please understand that we don’t have the time to respond to them all
individually. Be assured, however, that your request has been noted and will
be acted on shortly. When the new list is created, you may receive a
greeting message from the server. Please don’t respond to that message, and
please just wait for one of us to announce that the new list has gone live
before you post to it. Gordon is, as I speak, working on the project. We
have today acquired new hardware and he’s in the process of deploying and
configuring it all as I write.

 Warmest regards

 Lynne
