wordpress blogging on the mac

2013-08-28 Thread Moop Curran
Hi,
What's the best way to write blog entries for a class on the mac? Whenever I go
to www.wordpress.com on my mac and act like I'm going to write an entry,
voiceover seems to jump all over the place. Is there a decent way to blog?
Writing a blog for the class is a requirement.
Thanks,
Courtney

Re: Buring a video DVD: with a bit of a twist.

2013-08-18 Thread Moop Curran
Hi Chris,
This is probably really really unconventional, but it works. Try an app on the
mac called tunesify. It won't burn the file to anything, but it will convert it
to mp3 or m4a or any other audio format. It works really well. I've trhown all
kinds of audio and video formats at it since I got it about two years ago. You
can get it in the mac app store for $1.99 or something.

just downloading and not installing the latest iOS update file

2013-08-04 Thread Moop Curran
Hi,
I have a student who's iphone isn't yet updated to ios 6, and she has minimal
access to a computer and itunes. My question is, can I download the update to
my computer and install it that way, we have a poor internet connection where I
work with her, I tried to download it on my computer and install it directly in
the same sitting, but it was taking forever. I would suggest the over the air
update to her, but she's a beginner user, and I don't know how her access to
wi-fi is. So is there a way I can just download the .dmg file to my computer
tonight, then install it from my computer to her phone tomorrow?
Thanks,
Courtney

Re: Article: Apple loses its shine

2013-06-24 Thread Moop Curran
Hi,
I'd have to agree with both of you, I love mac for my desktop platform, but I
like my android tablet because it's more versatile. I wish apple would make iOs
more versatile, like mac, I'm probably one of a few that would like iOs to act
like mac os. I thin if the device is mine, I should be able to install whatever
app I want on it.

latest amadeus pro and batch processors

2012-11-25 Thread Moop Curran
Hi,
I updated to the latest version of amadeus pro from the app store. Whenever I
open a preexisting batch processor, it asks me to "please varify the save
location". It should be the same way I set it previously, so why does it ask
me? This is super annoying trying to dodge this dialogue every time I open a
preexisting batch processor, is this something that can be turned off?

Re: a neat program I came across to back up any folder to a cloud service.

2012-09-19 Thread Moop Curran
Hi Esther,
Thanks, I figured it out. The folder you back up to the cloud shows up as an
alias on the computer in which you backed it up. However, when I went to my
other computer, it showed up as a folder. That was what confused me at first.
I hope I explained this okay.

stopping mail in mountain lion from always organizing into conversations

Hi,
I just installed mountain lion on my macbook air. Whenever I open mail, it
always seems to end up organizing my messages by conversations, no matter how
many times I uncheck the box. I have my mail in classic view, so how can I
permanently stop this from happening? I personally prefer mail on my mac not

super weird vlc problem

2012-04-19 Thread Moop Curran
Hi,
I'm having a really weird vlc problem, I think I might have messed up some
audio settings when I was trying to find random. When I go to play an audio
file in VLC, it's loud, almost ear-splitting, and then everything, even vo goes
mute. The vlc audio volume is only at 25 percent. Any suggestions about what
to do about this really loud and almost painful audio problem?
Thanks,
Courtney
