After taking a while, it seemsto have downloaded. I am now at home, and have noticed that security preferences have been sent to FileVault and they are encrypting all files. Also noticing it's going to require a key and security code to get two files? Can anyone explain to me what is going on with this? I do not choose, to have to access the folders or files on my Mac, by having to put in security codes and keys. Is this permanent? Can it be undone? Does anyone have any explanation on what it is doing? However, there's just one slight problem with the responses we've received from some members. In the original request, I did make it clear that we require the email addresses of those who wish to remain on the list, and I asked for the address to be placed in the body of the message. In some cases, we have received mail with subject lines such as Stay, Yes, and similar things. Also those messages and others besides didn't contain the address within the body of the message. If you think that you may be one of those who omitted to place their address within the body of their request, would you mind please repeating the exercise, this time making sure to include your address within the main body of the message; email address, I mean, not your geographical address. :) it would also be helpful if you'd add a meaningful subject line such as I'd Like to stay on, which ever list or lists you wish to remain with. If you take more than one of our groups, such as Mac Access and Techno-Chat, please feel free to include both in the same message if you wish. Again, if you are one of those who did put their email address in the body of your message, and if you made it clear which list or lists you wish to remain a member of, then you may safely disregard this request. Thank you for your time, and my apologies for the repeated request to those of you who either complied with the original address or who do not wish to be ported over. Finally, as I said, the response has been phenomenal and we appreciate that. Please understand that we don't have the time to respond to them all individually. Be assured, however, that your request has been noted and will be acted on shortly. When the new list is created, you may receive a greeting message from the server. How can I fix this issue with having no window? The only way I found the last time was to restart my system, as Voiceover didn't recognize other windows and nothing worked. Even when I left-clicked, Voiceover would say Apple menu, but when I would press any of the arrow keys, I would just hear the voice effect of hitting a boundary. Hi I think it is a bug in ios7 but I might be wrong -Original Message- From: mac-access-boun...@mac-access.net [mailto:mac-access-boun...@mac-access.net] On Behalf Of Christopher Gilland Sent: Thursday, October 10, 2013 6:29 PM To: Mac OSX iOS Accessibility Subject: Shutting up Voiceover in I O S 7.02 Hello guys. I have a question that is really starting to puzzle me a bit. I am using an IPad 4th Gen with a wireless bluetooth keyboard. I am noticing that even though I certainly can two finger single tap on the screen to silence Voiceover's speech, I'm finding that pressing the control key on my bluetooth keyboard isn't working. I was curious first of all if that is just me, or if others are also having this same problem. Second of all, if I'm not just having a strange issue, and it really indeed doesn't work that way, is there a way then that I can silence speech from my keyboard? Sometimes I have my IPad a good 3 and a half to 4 feet away from my keyboard, so reaching over to the thing just to hush it up is sometimes more difficult to do than comfort's sake. Aside from that though, I'm in heaven with this thing! Chris. This was primarily due to an issue which prevents administrators from totally disabling web functionality in Apple's 2.2.1 Server incarnation. Because of this, the port we need to use the third-party software on was being blocked by Apache, even though all of the associated services were disabled. Finally, Gordon has found a way to prevent Apache from starting up even when it isn't needed. This now exposes the ports we need to our software. Therefore, you can expect to receive an E-Mail from the server shortly, presenting you with your credentials. Those who have been kind enough to make a small donation to Mac Access will be given full read/write access to your own folder. Note: This does not in any way mean that those who have purchased books from us, or who had previously been given access will be in any way affected. Finally, we would like to apologise for the delay in getting this up. Gordon has tried lots of fixes, all of which have failed until now. But we are quietly confident that this one will work. I've ordered one of these and I hope to have it by the end of the week so I'll be able to write a mini review on the product. The Braven 650 system is supposed to be far better than the Jawbone Jambox and that product wasn't bad except for its absolutely dreadful hands free speaker phone feature, the other fact that stopped me using it was its Bluetooth compatibility, the Jambox isn't - as far as I know - compatible with Bluetooth 4.0 devices such as the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy etc, Bluetooth 4.0 provides superior bandwidth to previous Bluetooth versions and it can be used without problems for dictation, Siri and the like. For example, on: www.bbc.co.uk/4extra I couldn't find the schedule link very easily, but I was using command f to search for it. I also used the web rowter to try and find it in links or headings, but it wasn't there, even though I know such a link exists as I've used it for years on a Winndows machine. The third channel is for the phone. Jawbone apparently has one and I am waiting upon some feedback from a person who is testing it. Any other ideas? What I am facing is that I have multiple bluetooth devices. I wish to be able to use one bluetooth head set. Then switch between all the bluetooth devices. If a Bluetooth head phones do not have this capability, what other devices might have the ability of switching between devices or allowing you to have 2 audio streams working at the same time.
