RE: Renaming Alias Folder on Desktop
Just press enter on any file folder or alias to rename it. Voiceover will say edit and you can then type in the new name. Re: Renaming Alias Folder on Desktop
Yes I understand that but do I have to go to a special place on the computer like the Home drive? Why do these folders have to have the name Alius after them?, I mean the ones I put on the desktop. - Original Message - From: David Griffith d.griff...@btinternet.com To: 'OS X iOS Accessibility' mac-access@mac-access.net Sent: Monday, March 10, 2014 10:49 PM Subject: RE: Renaming Alias Folder on Desktop Just press enter on any file folder or alias to rename it. RE: Renaming Alias Folder on Desktop
I do not understand the first part of your question. In relation to your second question these files are called alias because they are not the actual folder but a shortcut file pointing to the actual folder. So you can , for example, safely delete the alias to your dropbox folder without any impact on the actual dropbox folder. In short they perform the same function as shortcut on Windows.
