Yes, I am pretty sure that's correct. However, I said "If all

Re: security pen code on unlock?

2013-09-25 Thread Geoff Waaler

Hi Andrea,

To solve this problem one would select settings -> general -> passcode lock.
From there, either turn off the passcode, or set the "require passcode"
value to a choice other than "immediately". I have mine set to "every four
hours", which, in my environment strikes the right balance between security
and convenience.

 Hi
If all else fails, the best method might be to do a restore/reset from
iTunes. We were prompted to set this up when we updated our devices I
think, but it was quite some time ago. We don't have to enter it each
time we unlock the device; having to do so would be incredibly irritated I
agree. I am not sure, it's been ages since we powered them off, but I
think you're prompted to enter them following a power cycle.

From: "Andrea Breier" I have a friend that just updated her iPhone 5 to ios 7 and now would like
to remove the 4 digit pen code that she is having to type in at unlock.
It seems that after the setup was complete, she as prompted for a 4 digit
code several times and entered it each time. Can this not be removed, and
if so where and how. Details would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
sincerely in advance.

Hello AJ. All she needs to do is go into settings and turn off pass code lock I
think it is. She didn't have to turn it on originally but it is easy enough to
turn off.

2013-09-23 Thread Linda C. Knight
Andrea,

Do the following:

Disable the passcode

Simply
1. go to Settings

2. select General and then scroll down to Passcode Lock. Select this and
then tap on Turn Passcode Off.

you will be asked to input your passcode a couple of times to navigate
through these menus.

I hope this helps.
