i have a folder full of mp3 files but i don't want to see the mp3

still showing. i then went into my folder of mp3 files selected them all
and went into the file inspector and ticked hide extensions and still no
 luck.
has anyone come across this problem? how did you get around it? i must say

 any help would be fantastic

I use name changer. You can put replacement text and have it go through and do
it all in 1 go, or do it the slower way. Go through the times and have it
replaced 5 minutes with let's say nothing and it will do that. There probably
is a better way but my brain is not thinking right now.
Name changer is not on the app store btw and it's quite old so try looking for
it at download.com

Take care.

Re: a problem with hiding file extensions

2013-10-22 Thread Glenn
I agree, I don't know why anyone would not want to know of the file
extensions.
I think it is stupid of MS to have started the hiding of file extensions.
It is quite unsafe to know what the file extension is.
It could be an executable and you might not even know it.

Re: a problem with hiding file extensions

2013-10-22 Thread Michael Marshall
hey,
the reason i want to hide the extensions in this folder is because these files
are downloaded and the person who made them has put the time in the file name,
EG 1930 radio report 5min 4S.mp3. i wanted to get rid of all the times in the
file names without removing the .mp3 stuff with it.
thanks for any help
