RE: couple of questions: espeak for mac and uninstalling programs

2015-03-08 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Why press all those keys. What I just do is go to the apps folder, interact
with my apps, find the app I wan to delete and press command+Delete to delete
it. Then when it's in the trash I do a command+shift+backspace and it empties
the trash.

If the event is being streamed via Apple TV, an app will appear sometime in
the early mourning called "Apple Events".

Open that app and you will be able to watch when the event starts.

Re: How do I Access My Favorites in the New Radium Update for the Mac

2015-03-08 Thread Rod Skene
I think that is one of the enhancements for voice over users in the new version
of radium. Now, the name of the song and artist are displayed along with the
channel in the list of favorites. Also, you no longer have to do a mouse click
to change channels. A simple Fio space works now. I understand there is a new
unlabeled button, but there are many enhancements is well. I urge everyone to
respect fully request the button be labeled and congratulate them on wanting to
be accessible with voiceover.

Hey all,
I have a quick question.
In terms of uninstalling apps, you're supposed to click an icon on the
launchpad until it wiggles. Is there another way to do this with voiceover?

Also, does anyone know if there is a port of espeak for the mac? I'm not
looking for it to replace Alex, I just need to compile espeak.
Thanks,

Re: How do I Access My Favorites in the New Radium Update for the Mac

2015-03-08 Thread The Believer
This is crazy. Really. While poking around, I found out that this
latest version is not compatible with Mavericks. Unreal. I can
understand dropping support for older OSs but not the very last one. So
this explains why mine was not updated.

I think their VO improvements are actually a step backwards.

Someone said there is an unlabeled button, I did not find that. What works
is to clear the search field then you are left with your Favorites in the
station list table. If you type in a search the results are listed in that same
station table.

I did a search, added a couple stations then cleared the search and went
back and had all the stations I added.

I didn’t rename the document in the finder and maybe that was part of the

Re: messages on the mac

2015-03-08 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

For seeing all the messages between you and that individual, you need to
Interact with the HTML area after making sure the specific conversation is
selected from within the Conversations Table. Attachments within text or
iMessages are a little more cumbersome, it seems. Again, you need to have
interacted with the HTML area, navigate to the item that likely reads as “File
Transfer”, interact with it, press VO-cmd-f5 to bring your mouse to the VO
cursor, then move your finger on the physical trackpad slightly right until VO
says HTML Content, then back left until VO announces JPEG. Then press down the
ctrl key and click the physical mouse button to bring up the Contextual menu.
Choose Copy from there and Paste the copied item onto your Desktop.

HTH.

Re: Two Questions

2015-03-08 Thread Tim Kilburn
Mary Jo,

How specifically did you rename the file? Your explanation is a little
confusing to me. If you renamed a file with exactly the same name as the
first, the first will be overwritten by the second. The MacOS will, of course,
ask if this is what you want done and will do exactly that if you confirm. If
you renamed the file in the Finder, did you accidentally change the file
extension along with the name? If so, it will not be easily opened as the file
extension may not be matching the known file type to the MacOS. Regarding the
underscore and the “At” sign, it sounds to me like you did things correctly.
That is, if you’re speaking of using these characters in an eMail address, for
example, you would use the shift dash and the shift number 2 to enter
underscore and “At” sign respectively, at least on North American keyboards.

Re: How do I Access My Favorites in the New Radium Update for the Mac

2015-03-08 Thread Phil Halton
This sounds like the way it used to work before the recent update. There is an
unlabeled button after the search box which toggles the search categories and
station favorites list. And yes, sometimes its kind of flakey and doesn’t show
up unless you arrow past it and then back again.
I think their VO improvements are actually a step backwards.

Re: How do I Access My Favorites in the New Radium Update for the Mac

2015-03-08 Thread Shawn Krasniuk
Hi guys. I just did some investigating about the unlabelled button and The
Believer or whatever his name is's idea about clearing a search. First for the
believer, my search edit box was clear but still I had the search categories
scroll area. For Deb, when I clicked on the unlabelled button, nothing
happened. But when I arrowed down it appeared that there was another unlabelled
button that Voiceover wasn't picking up with the VO+Right arrow command. Also I
did a Vo+Shift+H for the help tag and it informed me that there was no help
tag. I'm thinking of emailing the developer about these issues and suggest that
all of you that use the app do the same.
