RE: new Mac not seeing audio interface?

2018-09-07 Thread Simon Fogarty
That's one hell of a connection,

Is there not a Bluetooth option or thunderbolt 3 to firewire connector to get
rid of the multiple adaptors.

Subject: new Mac not seeing audio interface?

Hi every body.

I’m having an issue and hopefully someone out there has a solution…

I just bought a new Mac book pro after selling my aging iMac.

I am using my focus rite Saffire pro 40 firewire interface. I am using a
thunderbolt three to thunderbolt two apple adapter and then a thunderbolt two
to firewire adapter.

The saffire mix control install went fine but the interface is not an option in
audio midi setup.

I haven’t setup a new Mac for quite a while and I wonder if I’m missing a step?

IF I go into system profiler, I see the adapter under thunderbolt and I do see
the interface in the firewire section so the Mac is seeing the interface at
least.

Any suggestions on what I could try to get this up and running?

Thanks,

Cameron.

RE: Ram memory in Vmware fusion.

2018-09-07 Thread Simon Fogarty
3 quarterrs of your machines available memory for a vm is fine,
Anything more than 3 quarters is going to start causing issues fo the host,
I've got all my vms set for a quarter of my machines available ram, that way I
can have 3 vms open at one time.

Hi everyone,

Yuma from oseyeris here. Before I head off to see 5 astrophysics phds from my
uni to discuss everything about space, stars galaxies and of course, Astreos, I
wanted to give y'all a heads-up on something else.

As we are a hardware/software for (currently for mac/IOS) crew that tackles all
sorts of things that tends to complicate our lives as blind individuals who
either have active lifestyles, go to uni, want to create or do things sighted
people do, we have been awarded the prestigious Dyson award for the national
competition in Australia for our Macaron, the universal access smart tape
measure.

i wish I could send everyone a unit so you can feel it in your hands, play with
the magnets that attach things together and make the process of measuring an
amazing one, play with the app, etc. And I wish you could compare it with some
previous prototypes we worked on just to see how cool it is now, but for the
moment I invite you to have a read at the process and the journey in getting
there. link is below:

Just wanted to share the excitement we have within our team for this, and I
would like to invite you to Like our Facebook page below to keep up with what
we have coming through, including an "efficiently accessible" Trello desktop

Keep your ears peeled for the next update of Astreos due within days.

Have a great day y'all

This has been quite interesting. There are some errors, probably in
Voiceover. One error is Option+Shift+8 is correctly reported as the

incorrectly reported as the degree sign.

There are others but I've had my fun for the week.
