Re: The macaron: finally available

2019-08-03 Thread Yuma Decaux
No, that’s why I said that it was a humiliating moment. Not for me though, I
very well knew where the flaws were. This was made on prototyped print
material, not high-grade ABS or HTP plastic.

We had a good laugh though :)

The material we now use is a different form of plastic, hard Rezin. It’s CNC
machine and can with stand some pretty high pressure and is shock resistant.

a word for Mac question?

2019-08-03 Thread maurice.mines
Hi, is there an easy way to get out of all of the menu options in
Microsoft Word 2016 for the Mac. If I can get out of all those menus, I
can edit a document just fine, in the same manner that one would edit a
document if one were in the other operating system. In other words when
I’m getting out if I can just get to the document itself without all
the controls getting in the way, I can read and edit without hindrance.
And in the long run it will save me a significant effect of time. If
anyone have any good suggestions?

Re: Apple watch doesn't retain app layout

2019-08-03 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Donna,

I have read your comments several times and I’m not certain I truly understand
your dilemma.

I will try to reproduce your findings if you can list the exact list of steps
to follow.

Also, why would you elect to modify the app layout on the watch, itself,
instead of on the phone?

Just curious.

Not sure if this went through, but I wanted to share a clip.

We have been testing the ruggedness of the macaron, and made a bet with Jake my
co-founder on a previous prototype made out of PLC, and see if the casing was
going to withstand a 500 kg bike rolling on it, as we were at the phase of
testing casing integrity by repeatdetly throwing it across a room, swiping it
off a bench, standing on it, and mistreating it in all sorts of scenarios.

Jake said he was fairly confident the Macaron was going to withstand a 250cc
bike, and I just rode along, knowing very well internally that it was going to
be a humiliating moment to capture on video.

Here is the result, guess what happened? Needless to say, we returned to our
materials evaluation board, and changed things internally.

Re: Actilino and Iphone.

2019-08-03 Thread Pete De Vasto
To switch among connected devices, use SPACE + dots 4,5 and 7. When you go to
connect a new device, Actilino I believe automatically opens a new channel for
you.

I’m not sure what you mean by top and bottom of page, but Space plus dots 1,2,3
takes you to the first item on the screen, and space + dots 4, 5 6 takes you to
the last item. If that’s not what you’re looking for, check this link:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202132

Which has the complete list of Voiceover Braille commands. I saw someplace
where they talk about commands for specific displays, but can’t remember where
that is now, sorry.I took a peak while getting the URL, and I did not see a top
or bottom of page command, though.

Hope this helps,
Pete De Vasto

Actilino and Iphone.

2019-08-03 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
I have two questions regarding actilino together with apple devices.
How to go to the top and the bottom of the page with actilino?
THe next question is how to switch to an empty bluetooth channel so i can pair
my Ipad mini withh the display?
This display is a revolution to book reading.
Its so great to read with the actilino.
