You can not open energy saver preferences pane because it is not
available to you at this time. To see this preferences pane, you may
need to connect the device to your computer. Ok, default button.

Let me clarify that I was using Apple Magic (external keyboard).

How can I access Energy Saver, please?

Thanks!

Re: Braille Display Commands on Mac

2021-03-20 Thread 'Jason White' via MacVisionaries
The command assignments are specific to the type of braille display connected, which is presumably why they won’t appear unless you have a working display.   I would suggest reviewing the table of commands (with the display connected, of course) and deciding whether to make changes. As to opening applications, you would typically use the braille display to simulate the relevant keystrokes (e.g., using the dock). Likewise, simulating Command-Q closes an application. My personal preference is to use the Qwerty keyboard for most input and to read the braille display as I wish. However, different users have different preferences. From: 'Matthew Dierckens' via MacVisionaries Date: Friday, 19 March 2021 at 13:59To: 'Chris Blouch' via MacVisionaries Subject: Braille Display Commands on MacHi everyone. I am working with a student who is using a Brailliant 32. I have used this display in the past, but it was a few years ago. Re: AirPods Max.

2021-03-20 Thread Pete Nalda
One more thing about the Max I forgot to mention, is battery life. It’s really
amazing!! I’ve left them unplugged all day long, and have yet to run them
down! I think their smart case helps in this area. And that case is nothing to
write home about, but the protect flap protects the top, and is magnetic, and I
think they run down less when they’re slipped in it.

One thing to note, transparency does function better with lower music

Re: Energy Saver Preferences?

2021-03-20 Thread John Panarese
This is correct. Energy Saver preferences are the same, but Battery, similar
to iOS, is how Laptop Macs address energy saver settings.

podcasts on Big Sur

2021-03-20 Thread Patrick Ford
Hi,
I've lost the emails pertaining to podcasts on catalina.
On Big sur, however, which may be equivalent to catalina I interact with
sidebar then there are about 10 or so default headings such as listen now and
browse etc If I want to browse for instance, I VO plus space bar then I stop
interacting and VO left arrow until I reach categories, then interacting here I
find all the selections for browsing.
It would be equal to all the default headings - Vo space bar, then stop
interacting, then VO left arrow until categories, then interact and find what
you need. I think, again, it should be the same on catalina - I had catalina
but do not recall exactly.

Re: Energy Saver Preferences?

For Lap Top users, it is now under Battery. Simply open Battery in System
Preferences and VO right Arrow to the table and interact. Sounds like for
Desktop users you guys still have energy saver.

Re: AirPods Max.

2021-03-20 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi!
Well ok.
So I have to decide myself if its gonna be AirPods max or Beoplay H95.
The pro with the AirPods Max is that you can use them with all apple Devices
by just connecting to the Pods from Control Center.

 Hi!
I’ve saved up money to buy some new headphones.
I am thinking of buying the AirPods Max.
Has anyone here on the list tested them or touched them?
I am very curious on how they feel and look like?
The reviews on YouTube are very interesting like how they are working and
 how to play/pause etc.
But I would like to know them from a blindness perspective.
 Thanks in advance.
